When we view this life from the perspective of our eternal spiritual life—a journey that is truly without beginning or end—we realise that our time here is as brief as a flash of lightning or a spark from a flint. It passes in an instant. Regardless of the quality or the duration of this current lifetime, it is incredibly short, yet it remains profoundly precious and significant.

A Sanctuary for Spiritual Growth

For the students of Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, the opportunity to practise in this specific environment is truly rare and difficult to encounter. This centre is a unique space where Namo Amituofo, demonic forces, ordinary beings, and the students of the centre all coexist. It is, in every sense, an ideal place for spiritual practice. Here, we are blessed with the presence of the Buddha, whose awareness is perfect and whose nature is of the utmost purity and goodness.

The Unfailing of the Buddha

The Buddha will never abandon any being. This is because the Buddha does not see our external flaws or our past mistakes; rather, the Buddha sees the inherent Buddha-nature within every single one of us. Whenever there is even the slightest opportunity, the Buddha will reach out to save us. As long as a being has not yet realised their true nature, they remain the object of the Buddha's compassionate salvation.

The Buddha possesses the supreme ability to save any being, for the Buddha is perfectly awakened. The Buddha understands every problem, every struggle, and every need that we face. The Buddha knows exactly how to guide us to leave suffering behind and find true happiness. However, for this salvation to take root, we must be willing to trust in the Buddha and be willing to raise the holy name of Namo Amituofo in our hearts and on our lips.

The Power of Faith and the Holy Name

When beings have a sincere response in their hearts, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will naturally provide a corresponding answer. If beings have no sense of connection and no desire for help, even if the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas appear to offer assistance, those beings will not be able to receive it. This is because they have not yet placed their faith in the Buddha. If one does not follow the teachings or the guidance provided by the Buddha, one cannot truly change or reap the genuine benefits of leaving suffering behind.

The Extraordinary Path of Practitioner Su

There are rare exceptions, such as Practitioner Su, who possesses a human body and the capacity to take charge and initiate substantive change. Having already realised his true nature and attained Buddhahood, he carries the great vow to save the world and rescue all beings. He does not allow himself to be disturbed or subdued by demonic forces, nor does he allow his heart and actions in saving beings to diminish in the slightest.

  • He possesses great meritorious power, which he uses to supplement the insufficient merits of other beings, thereby helping them to be saved.
  • He possesses great spiritual power, which allows him to subdue demonic enemies and obtain the subtle, magnificent .
  • Through his efforts, he compels both demonic crowds and ordinary beings to be convinced and transformed by the truth.

Seizing the Opportunity for Liberation

Most importantly, everything that Practitioner Su does is in perfect accordance with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. He does not create negative causes, nor does he reap evil consequences. Instead, he sows the seeds of Dharma affinity, providing beings with the opportunity for liberation, all without seeking any personal reward.

This is the magnificence of encountering Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, those who have realised their true nature, and true spiritual friends. You must understand that this is the most magnificent of all opportunities. You must engage in diligent practice, and then practise even more diligently. At Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, you have been granted this life of diligent practice; you must act upon it immediately.
