The Origin of the Many Methods

Although it is often said that there are 84,000 methods, in truth, they are beyond counting. Originally, there were no such methods. However, because beings do not understand the laws of and cause and effect, they fall into confusion and delusion. This ignorance leads to various deviations, causing them to create all manner of negative karma and commit countless errors. Therefore, Buddha or and ancestral masters have introduced a vast array of methods to counteract the problems faced by beings. By listening to the Dharma, one can understand the laws of karma and cause and effect and the true reality of existence before problems manifest, thereby avoiding the commission of errors.

The Protective Shield of

When a practitioner aligns their life with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, they ensure that they do not deviate from the path, create negative karma, or commit transgressions. Precepts were also established for this reason. The Precepts serve to regulate the practitioner's Body, Speech, and Mind, avoiding the creation of negative karma and the ripening of evil consequences. Those who teach the Dharma can, at any moment, point out the incorrect concepts, views, and practices of a practitioner, allowing them to change their ways and avoid creating negative karma.

The Two-Power Path to Liberation

The Dharma Gate is a two-power path, relying on both and Buddha's , which can help a practitioner attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death, escape the six realms of rebirth, and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Through diligent practice, one can even reach the state of through chanting Namo Amituofo, gaining the freedom to travel back and forth to the Western Pure Land at will.

The Transformative Power of Listening

Listening to the Dharma is an essential component of Pure Land practice. It allows the listener to become familiar with Namo Amituofo and the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, understand the methods and concepts of chanting, and receive the wisdom passed down through the experience of those who have taught before us. We hope that all who listen to these teachings will follow the path of practice, engaging in purification, and then more purification. By doing so, you will elevate the quality of your spirit and, in turn, your chanting will reach a state of deep meditative concentration.
