Words of Namo Amituofo:

Generally speaking, within the internal organs of a being caught in the cycle of being reincarnated, every single cell possesses a heart. This heart contains the Eight Consciousnesses and the Fifty-one Mental Factors. It is important to understand that different cells hold different consciousnesses, and every being—including your , attached spirits, and demon crowds—possesses this same heart, along with the Eight Consciousnesses and the Fifty-one Mental Factors.

The Hidden Within Every Cell

Beings from different spaces possess different consciousnesses. Even within your own body, the consciousness residing in different parts varies, as do the consciousnesses of the various external beings that may have attached themselves to you. If we were to categorise this simply, we would look at the Four Elements that constitute the physical body: Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind. Each of these elements carries its own distinct consciousness. When we further subdivide these elements, we find that cells governed by each of the Four Elements also possess their own unique consciousness.

The Earth and Water Elements of Our Being

The Earth element encompasses the cells of your muscles, bones, ligaments, and meridians. When the Earth element cells are not in harmony, you may experience various physical ailments. For instance, you might suffer from stiffness, lumps, or aching in the muscles. In the bones, this imbalance can manifest as osteoporosis, deformities, or protrusions. The ligaments may become painful, shortened, or even torn, while the meridians may suffer from blockages of energy and blood, leading to inflammation, heat, and pain.

The Water element encompasses the cells of the fluids within your body, including your blood and various bodily secretions. When these cells are not in harmony, you may experience issues such as excessive phlegm, a runny nose, anaemia, dehydration, or painful swelling and oedema.

The Fire and Wind Elements at the Threshold of Death

The Fire element encompasses your body temperature and the regulatory centres that control it. When the Fire element is not in harmony, you may experience extreme cold or high fevers. This is most evident at the moment of death, when the body becomes icy cold. This occurs because the elements separate, and the temperature regulatory centre has ceased to function. The body loses its heat energy, the temperature drops until it is freezing, and the muscles become rigid.

The Wind element encompasses your breathing and the organs associated with it, such as the nose, throat, respiratory tract, and lungs. When the Wind element is not in harmony, you may experience irregular breathing or severe respiratory distress. When the Wind element separates, the respiratory organs become blocked or cease to function entirely. Once the breath stops, the body is devoid of oxygen. This is the moment of death, where the body faces the intense suffering of the separation of the four elements.

The Path to Ultimate Freedom and Rebirth

If you can diligently chant Namo Amituofo and sincerely seek rebirth in the , your spirit can take charge of its own destiny, and your body will also be under your control. Your spirit will be guided by the Buddha light to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. By doing so, you will avoid the suffering of the separation of the four elements. Alternatively, through the process of becoming an awakened being, you may attain mastery over life and death, allowing you to chant Namo Amituofo and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss with ease.
