The Pure Land Within

Where is the Pure Buddha Land? You may search for it across the vast reaches of the universe, yet the answer lies closer than you think. When your heart is pure, the land is pure. The place where one who possesses a pure heart resides is, in itself, the Pure Buddha Land.

What is a pure heart? It is a heart that is clear, bright, and clean, entirely free from the stains of worldly attachment. When you achieve this purity, you gain meditative concentration. With such a heart, you can transform your environment rather than being swayed by it. You are no longer tossed about by the winds of karma, nor are you disturbed by the clouds of confusion that obscure your clarity.

The Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss

The true Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is the gathering place for all noble beings. It is a land of absolute purity, populated by a pure assembly. For ten kalpas, Namo Amituofo has been continuously giving lectures on the Dharma without interruption. Through these teachings, the beings of the Western Land are purified, their spiritual nature is elevated, and they ascend to higher lotus grades.

A Sanctuary in Australia

The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, is a place where Namo Amituofo truly abides. It is a Pure Buddha Land within the human world. This Western Land of Dharma Nature was established by Practitioner Su, with the combined assistance of Namo Amituofo’s power and his own self-power.

The Buddha-light shines everywhere in this place, providing a sanctuary for the spiritsinvited to be delivered. It is also a place for demon crowds who have been subdued and have come to surrender. They shed their demonic forms, don the clean and pure robes of the Dharma, and take their places upon lotus seats. It is a place of peace for all spirits to rest.

Revealing Your Original Nature

The Pure Buddha Land is also within the heart of every being; it is the land of your own true self. It is only because of the heavy veils of confusion that this pure land remains covered. For countless lifetimes, you have not seen the light of day. When will you be able to behold this Pure Buddha Land?

It happens as you remove the obstacles of confusion: remove one part of confusion, and one part of your heart’s light appears; remove two parts of confusion, and two parts of that light are revealed. When all confusion is completely removed, the light of your heart will shine in its entirety. You will then behold the vast, luminous treasury of the Dharma, and that is the moment you become a Buddha. Namo Amituofo.
