This is a record of an interview with the Rain God, Du Kexiao, who oversees the region of Toowoomba and Goombungee. The interview discusses the miraculous phenomenon of the land and vegetation chanting Namo Amituofo to invoke rain, facilitated by the spiritual guidance of Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. This session was recorded on October 22, 2020.

Rain God Du Kexiao speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Du Kexiao, the Rain God. I have been tasked with guarding this region, and I must tell you, I have witnessed many things in my time, but the events occurring here are truly inconceivable. To hear that even the grass and the very soil itself have learned to chant Namo Amituofo—this is something I have never heard of in all my existence."

The Power of Practitioner Su

"This is only possible because there is an inconceivable practitioner here: Practitioner Su. He possesses the unique ability to communicate with all things in the natural world. When the land is parched and suffering from a lack of rain, he knows how to open the space, aligning with the laws of the heavens to provide teachings that allow all creatures to understand the . Day after day, without ever tiring, he teaches the spirits of the land, the grass, and the deceased to chant Namo Amituofo together. It is because of this tireless dedication that we have reached the results we see today."

A Report to the Heavenly Emperor

"When all these spirits—the land, the grass, and the souls—unite their hearts and minds to chant the Buddha-name, the sound of their devotion reaches me. I have personally witnessed this magnificent scene. It is so profound that I felt compelled to report it directly to the Heavenly Emperor in the celestial palace. Upon seeing the sincerity of this collective chanting, the Heavenly Emperor immediately issued the decree for rain to fall. What you see now, the life-giving rain, is the direct result of this process."

"This is a rare and difficult event to encounter, a true marvel of the Dharma. I am grateful for this opportunity to speak and to report these events to Practitioner Su and all the virtuous practitioners present. Namo Amituofo."
