The Return of the Buddha's Children

On the seventh of March, 2019, during the Thrice Yearning Ceremony held in Hong Kong, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju offered these profound teachings to the assembly. The atmosphere was filled with the presence of countless spirits, all gathered in the void, kneeling in anticipation of the Dharma assembly about to commence.

The Gathering of Spirits

For countless eons, these spirits have endured suffering that no one else could perceive or understand. They have wandered through the cycle of rebirth, lost in the darkness of their own karma. Yet, there is hope, for they have come to realise that Namo Amituofo is the only one who can truly rescue them from this endless cycle of pain.

As Practitioner Su appeared before them, the presence of Namo Amituofo was made manifest. Within the resonant sound of the Buddha-name, every call served as a beacon of light. The spirits, moved by this boundless compassion, wept with gratitude. In the depths of their hearts, they cried out, repenting for the heavy karma they had accumulated over many lifetimes.

Awakening to Our True Nature

They suddenly realised that they were, in essence, the children of the Buddha. They had been lost in the vast ocean of karma for countless ages, wandering far from home and unable to find their way back. Now, however, their compassionate Father, Namo Amituofo, has arrived to guide them.

He comes to welcome His children back to their true home. Their original place of origin is the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. They are the children of the lotus kingdom, and the lotus village is waiting for their return. Through seven days of listening to the sutras, these spirits have gained a deep understanding of the truth, breaking through the veils of confusion that once blinded them.

The Truth of the Present Moment

They have come to understand that their previous existence was merely a life lived within an illusion. Like waking from a great dream, they feel as though they have been reborn. They now recognise that the present moment is where the true meaning of life resides. They must hasten to the Western Pure Land to save this life and find eternal peace. This message was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
