For the beings who reside in the Western Pure Land, this infinite life is always accompanied by infinite light. This world is so precious and so rare that it is difficult to encounter in a thousand lifetimes. The goal of attaining Buddhahood is the most important mission of any existence. Once you arrive in the Western Pure Land, you have the benefit of an infinite lifespan to dedicate yourself entirely to your practice. Furthermore, Namo Amituofo has already prepared all the necessary offerings for you to honour the Buddhas of the ten directions, allowing you to focus your energy solely on your spiritual cultivation.

A Precious Sanctuary in the Human World

The Vital Importance of Faith, Vows, and Practice

In the current spiritual landscape, the spirits are fortunate. Because of the eighteenth of the Forty-eight Great Vows of Namo Amituofo, they are able to chant the holy name of Namo Amituofo and be guided by the Buddha-light into the Western Pure Land. However, those of us in the human world face greater challenges. We must constantly overcome the interference of our karmic creditors, which often prevents us from chanting the Buddha's name, maintaining focus, or making the vow to seek rebirth in the Pure Land.

We must pay special attention to the Three Provisions of Faith, Vows, and Practice. Specifically, we must cultivate true Faith: believe deeply that Namo Amituofo exists; believe deeply that the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is real; and believe deeply that you possess your own true nature and Buddha-nature, and that you are, in essence, a Buddha yourself. You must hold this faith firmly and never let it be shaken by the slander or opinions of others. If your faith wavers, it is not true faith. If your faith is not firm, your vow will easily falter, and your practice will not be sustainable. If you do not correct this before the end of your life, you will lose this rare opportunity to be reborn in the Western Pure Land.

The Compassionate Deliverance of Practitioner Su

Fortunately, we have the vow-power of Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.
