The Triumphant Return to the Western Pure Land
The Twenty-fourth Letter of President Zhao Puchu
Recorded on August 16, 2017

In this era of turbulence and uncertainty, the hearts of the people are filled with anxiety. Civilians live with frayed nerves, trembling in fear that a single moment of carelessness might lead to the devastation of war, the loss of their homes, or the destruction of their families. The days are spent in a desperate struggle for survival, burdened by deep-seated fear, insecurity, and the relentless tension of a life lived on the edge. It is a suffering that is difficult to put into words. However, you must ask yourself: are these truly new? They have always been present, lurking beneath the surface of your daily life. Perhaps you have simply become numb to them.
The War That Never Ends
Do you believe that the wars of this world have truly ended? This is not the case. While the conflicts of history may have concluded in the physical realm, the war that remains unfinished is the one raging within your own heart. These feelings of helplessness and wandering are still deeply embedded in your inner being. From the moment you arrived in this world, this internal war began. It is a significant and intense battle, and if you can emerge victorious, you will be able to return to the of Ultimate Bliss.
To navigate this conflict, one can apply the strategic wisdom found in the ancient teachings of Sun Tzu. The principle of knowing oneself and knowing the enemy is the ultimate tactical advantage. When you can clearly grasp the conditions of both your own mind and the forces of your opposition, you have already won more than half the battle. This is the key to achieving total victory in your spiritual practice.
The Enemy Within
Your habits and your personality traits are, in essence, the demon nature residing within your heart. They are your greatest enemies. You must win this war against them, for the consequences of defeat are severe. If you succumb to these internal forces, they will not only erode your physical body bit by bit, but they will also ensure that your spirit must continue to suffer in the cycle of rebirth. To know yourself and your enemy, you must:
- Clearly understand the nature of your habits and personality.Face these tendencies directly rather than avoiding them.Overcome them through consistent and diligent practice.Transform them into virtues through the light of the .Ultimately, achieve victory over the ego that drives these negative patterns.
The Weapon of
The key weapon for this victory is not found in the harshness of steel, weapons, or force. Instead, it is the most gentle and profound power of all: compassion. To this day, no enemy has ever been able to withstand this weapon. Its soft, instantaneous power is something that no one can resist; most will simply surrender to its warmth. This weapon is something that everyone possesses by nature, yet it remains to be seen whether you are willing to use it.
By clearly mastering the weaknesses of your internal enemy and identifying the moments when these negative habits arise, you can combine this awareness with the power of compassion. If you do this, you will be absolutely certain of victory. Your home in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is waiting for your triumphant return.
The Final Victory
On the path of learning the Buddha's teachings, how many practitioners can truly realise the importance of changing their personality traits? Even those who have held the for the longest time do not necessarily achieve this. If you do not defeat these internal demons, even if you chant the Buddha-name of Namo Amituofo thousands or millions of times, it will be difficult to overcome the power they hold within your heart. If you do not engage in a long-term struggle to confront, understand, soften, and resolve the conflict with these habits, they will remain with you.
At the most critical moment—the time of your passing—these habits may launch a sudden, final attack. The impact and explosive force of this moment are enough to cast you into a deep abyss. You must never disregard or hide from their power. You have grown weary of the battlefields of this world; it is time to let yourself rest. Win this final battle, and return home in triumph. I, Zhao Puchu, am waiting for you in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. I implore you, you must win this battle and claim the ultimate victory.
