The Truth Within the Cells

This interview features Venerable Yongning, who provides a detailed report on the spiritual progress and realizations of Keqiang. Keqiang sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, where he now resides. This session was recorded on February 27, 2018, and transcribed by the chief writer, Shi Fajing.

Venerable Yongning speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Venerable Yongning. Today, Keqiang has truly come to realise the profound nature of what we call 'space.' Within the depths of his consciousness, there exist countless layers of memories—some left behind by chance, others etched into his very soul as life-altering episodes, and some that are remnants of past traumas. These memories of the past are not merely fleeting thoughts; they are distinct, layered spaces that we inhabit. It turns out that Keqiang had been constantly immersed in these internal spaces of his own making, unable to find a way out.

The Labyrinth of Memory

Through the interviews conducted over these past few days, Keqiang has had the opportunity to engage in direct dialogue with the myriad things residing within these spaces. It was only then that he truly understood the terrifying nature of being trapped within one's own consciousness. Without the guidance of the Buddha’s teachings and the compassionate deliverance of Namo Amituofo, no one can ever hope to escape the confines of these internal spaces. It is only through this sacred name—Namo Amituofo—that one can break through the barriers of space and time to save immeasurable and boundless sentient beings.

The Power of the Holy Name

Keqiang felt a profound stirring within his heart. He has made a solemn vow that the Buddha’s teachings should be spread widely into every home and every corner of society. The world cannot exist without the Buddha’s teachings, and the Buddha’s teachings must remain present in this world. The darkness that permeates our world requires the illumination of the Buddha-light, and the deep-seated suffering and frustration within the hearts of the people require the soothing comfort of the Dharma.

A Vow to Illuminate the World

Everyone should join together in the pursuit of the ultimate goal: rebirth in the Western Pure Land. We should no longer remain attached to the illusions and sufferings of this world. Let us look forward, let us practise the teachings, and let us find our way home to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Namo Amituofo."
