The Indestructible Essence of the True Self
Namo Amituofo teaches us that every single being possesses a true self. Regardless of how many aeons you have spent wandering through the cycle of rebirth, this true self remains entirely untouched and perfect. It is not born and does not die; it is neither defiled nor pure; it neither increases nor decreases. It is, in its essence, completely unique.
Everything you see, hear, encounter, or do in this world is governed by the laws of Causal Conditions. These experiences are subject to the rise and fall of phenomena, manifesting as either pure or defiled . Within this shifting landscape, the karmic marks of our actions may fluctuate, yet the true self remains constant and singular.
The Unique of the Awakened
Every awakened being who has realised their true nature acts in a way that is entirely unique. This is because every action taken after is dedicated solely to the purpose of saving sentient beings. Because the character of each being is different and the environments in which they live vary, the methods used to teach and save them must also be diverse.
To effectively guide and deliver beings, the awakened must employ methods that are perfectly suited to the individual. An awakened being possesses the profound skill of moving through the world while keeping their heart perfectly still. Because their true self encompasses the infinite, they are able to operate with , using different approaches to save different beings according to their specific needs.
The Uniqueness of the Individual Journey
Each individual is truly unique. No two beings share the same , for the record of one's experiences across countless lifetimes is distinct for everyone. Throughout the long passage of aeons, every life you have lived has existed in a unique way, different from all others. Although your true self remains perfectly intact and well, it has been obscured by the dust of these experiences.

Beyond our group cultivation, the specific guidance you receive is unique to you. Because you are a unique individual, the path of practice designed for you is also unique. Therefore, you should never compare your progress or your methods with others.
Everything is taught according to your specific capacity. You must look inward, listen to the teachings, and do your utmost to put them into practice. If you listen, you will surely gain; if you apply yourself, you will surely reap the rewards. By accumulating merit and virtue day by day, you will remove defilements and attain purity. In doing so, you will certainly achieve success in your practice and see your true self.
