The Urgent Call to Save Yourself
My children, as you engage in your practice here at Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, you must realise that your primary duty is to save yourself. This is the only way to honour the rare fortune of encountering the teachings of Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su in this lifetime. To save yourself means to ensure that you will never again fall into the cycle of rebirth within the six realms of rebirth.
Do not remain asleep in the dream of samsara, only to wake up and find yourself trapped in another dream. If you do not awaken now, you will continue to endure the endless sufferings of this world: the cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death; the painful separation from those you love and the forced association with those you dislike; and the inability to master your own mind and destiny. You must cherish every moment and ensure that you do not let this precious life pass by in vain.
Transforming the Ego and the Mind
To save yourself, you must stop clinging to your own personality and ego. Many of you are still too concerned with saving face, maintaining your pride, and refusing to admit your mistakes. You must be willing to transform your personality and learn to distinguish clearly between right and wrong. You must learn to focus on the Goodness and the positive, rather than dwelling on the bad and the negative. Only by doing this can you improve your state of mind, overcome the heaviness of , and enter into a higher space of spiritual clarity.
Breaking Free from Karmic Entanglements
If you continue to allow your spirit to be controlled and led by your and attached spirits, how can your physical body remain free from aging and sickness? How can you hope to escape the cycle of rebirth in this lifetime? You must stop being confused about the nature of good and evil. The cycle of suffering is relentless; it continues to grow and consume beings without pause. If you commit evil deeds without realising your errors, it is a great tragedy that your karmic burden will never cease. The intense suffering of the hells shows no mercy; when will you finally be able to see the light of true wisdom?
Seizing the Rare Opportunity for Buddhahood
You must seize the opportunity while you still possess a human body and while you still have breath in your lungs. You have entered Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, and under the guidance of Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su, you are receiving the necessary training to adjust your body, mind, and spirit. Through diligent practice, you can attain meditative concentration, cultivate Goodness, and rediscover your original, true self, allowing its inherent light to shine forth once more.
My children, the fact that you are able to practise in this sacred Buddha-land today is the result of your cultivation over countless aeons. Among all these lifetimes, your affinity with Namo Amituofo is the most magnificent and profound. This is the time when you can finally attain Buddhahood. Do not let this rare and precious opportunity to realise your true nature and attain Buddhahood slip through your fingers. Furthermore, remember that countless sentient beings with karmic affinity are currently waiting for you to achieve success so that you may return to save them. Namo Amituofo.
