Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Turmoil: Chinese Leadership and Sentient Beings with Karmic Affinity
The phrase 'Vast, Profound, Dignified, and Pure' originates from the Infinite Life Sutra. It is a description of one of the magnificent scenes within the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This Buddha-land is boundless, majestic, and utterly pure. When one hears of or witnesses such a realm, and heart naturally become calm and at ease. All worries and anxieties vanish, and a profound sense of respect and reverence arises within the heart.
At this very moment, the Western Land of Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre embodies these same qualities. Even those beings who arrive with hardened personalities, strong subjective views, or hearts filled with deep-seated resentment and dissatisfaction, undergo a profound change. The moment they enter the Western Land of Dharma Nature, their hearts soften. They find it impossible to harbour evil thoughts or intentions, and naturally, they cease all harmful actions. This environment acts as a gentle, transformative force, washing away the dust of the spirit.
The Western Land of Dharma Nature is a pure realm gifted by to Practitioner Su. However, its cultivation and the ongoing purification within it are established through the sincere vows of Practitioner Su. It is a sanctuary prepared specifically for the spirit realm beings who are to be saved. Regardless of where these beings originate, once the great bell is struck, they enter the Western Land of Dharma Nature. There, they are granted the precious opportunity to undergo purification and to listen to sutras and hear the Dharma. This process is a journey of the spirit. Although it may not be visible to the physical eyes, within the spiritual realms, this process proceeds without obstruction. It is a skillful means, available at any time, to save and liberate suffering beings.
You, as students, can also build a Pure Land within your own body, heart, and spirit. The qualities of being vast, profound, dignified, and pure are not merely characteristics of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss; they are states that can be attained through your own diligent purification. By refining your own heart and mind, you create a space of clarity and peace that mirrors the majesty of the Buddha-land.
You, the students of Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, have been blessed to encounter Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su. This is a rare Dharma affinity, something difficult to encounter in millions of years. You should cherish this opportunity and make a great vow to save not only yourselves but also all suffering beings.
