Teachings from Teacher-Practitioner Xia Lianju:
Whenever you are engaged in work that benefits all sentient beings, you must commit yourself to walking the straight path without a single moment of regret. Our lives are fleeting and finite. Within this limited span of time, you must dedicate yourself to what is truly appropriate and virtuous. Do not allow a single minute or second to be wasted in vain.
When you encounter resistance or obstacles on your journey, you should first turn your gaze inward. Reflect upon your own state of mind and strive for improvement. If your initial efforts do not yield the desired change, you must continue to refine your approach until you succeed. To alleviate the suffering of others is, in essence, to alleviate your own suffering. After all, you are also one among the countless beings in this cycle of rebirth.
To effectively rescue beings from their suffering, you must first achieve your own spiritual success. Therefore, on the path of practice, you must be diligent and persistent. Find your true direction and walk it straight, without ever looking back.
At the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, you are blessed with the guidance of Namo Amituofo, myself, and Practitioner Su. To listen to these teachings and walk the path directly is the fastest way to achieve success in your practice. This is because Namo Amituofo, Practitioner Su, and I can clearly see the individual problems of each member of the fourfold assembly. We understand your unique personality traits and can offer solutions tailored specifically to your character and your challenges.
By moving forward step by step, walking the straight path without regret, you will come to realise that encountering a true teacher is a rare and precious opportunity.
If you were without the guidance and protection of Namo Amituofo, Practitioner Su, and myself, you would be lost in the wilderness of confusion, unable to find an exit. Today, you have the opportunity to change your ways and change your personality traits. Through diligent practice in your daily lessons, you will make steady progress in your purification.
You must work to overcome the following obstacles:
By remaining active and persistent in your efforts, by upholding your Faith, Vows, and Practice, and by walking the straight path without regret, you will certainly attain the fruits of your labour and see your true nature. Namo Amituofo.
