This interview features the spirit of a child aborted by Lay Practitioner Lu between 1980 and 1983. After enduring years of darkness and sorrow, the spirit sought deliverance through the compassionate guidance and ceremonies provided by the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. Through the profound of and the teachings of Practitioner Su, the spirit has successfully transcended their karmic obstacles and now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This moving testimony, which highlights the power of sincerity and the efficacy of the Buddha’s teachings, was recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on December 19, 2025.
The Spirit of the Child speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. Mother, Mother, I have finally arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss! I can see you now! I am no longer the tiny, helpless soul I once was; I am a big child now, able to run and jump with . During my time in the Western Land of Nature, I have been bathed in the warm, radiant light of the Buddha. My heart is completely free from the sorrow and helplessness I once carried. All of this is thanks to you, Mother, for arranging my Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. I am so deeply grateful to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. It was they who guided you to the true Buddha’s teachings, filling your life with such Dharma joy and purpose, and it was through your devotion that you registered me for this deliverance."
A Bond That Never Severed
"Although I have been separated from you for so long, the thread connecting us was never broken. For years, I hid in the shadows, grieving because I thought I was a child unwanted by my own mother. Yet, deep down, I always believed that you acted out of helplessness. I never truly blamed you. I understood that those dark, unhappy days were part of my own karmic destiny. But never in my wildest dreams did I imagine such a miraculous reversal of fate—that I would one day arrive in this magnificent Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This must be the result of the karmic Goodness we shared in our past lives. To have been your child in this lifetime is truly my great fortune!"
From a Small to a Buddha
"Mother, Mother, when the little master at the temple interviewed me, he asked what name I wanted to be called. I didn't know who I was, so I told him, 'I want to be known as Mother’s little Bodhisattva!' Ha! Look at that, it’s official now! In the future, I will certainly follow the Buddha to save other beings. I want to be just like Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su—flying freely through the realms to deliver souls. The sky is filled with so many spirits waiting for salvation; if you could see it, Mother, you would be absolutely astonished! It is such a blessing that you are following Practitioner Su, for you now know that Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su possess true attainment. That is your great karmic fortune! So, when the time comes, I won't just be 'Mother’s little Bodhisattva' anymore—I will be on my way to becoming a Buddha!"
The Path of Sincerity
"Mother, you must do the same. You must continue to follow the Buddha’s path. Do not worry about your age. The most important thing is that your heart remains sincere. If you truly follow the Buddha with a sincere heart, you have already won the greatest prize! I am certain Practitioner Su would agree. Mother, you must believe me—when I was in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I listened very carefully to Practitioner Su’s Dharma talks. I understood everything she said, and it felt as if I had suddenly grown up and matured. That is how I came to realise the preciousness of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, just as I realise how precious you are to me, Mother."
A Message of Faith and Deliverance
"Mother, when you return home, do not forget to share the Buddha’s teachings. Do not worry if others do not believe you; just keep chanting Namo Amituofo with a steady heart. Have confidence in yourself. Your sincerity will touch the many spirits that have been following you, and remember to bring them along to chant the Buddha’s name as well. If you do this, your physical health will surely improve!"
"Mother, I am sitting on a lotus seat in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss right now, flying about in such joy and Dharma bliss. Life following the Buddha is truly wonderful. I hope that one day you will join me here. You must hold tightly to Namo Amituofo, the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, and Practitioner Su. Mother, you will certainly achieve success!"
"Finally, your little Bodhisattva is so grateful to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, and of course, to you, Mother. I hope you continue to chant Namo Amituofo, and under the Buddha’s blessing, may you become younger and more vibrant every day!"
