A Child's Journey to the Western Land

This is a record of an interview with a spirit who was aborted in 1985 and sought Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. The spirit now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon the spirit's long, arduous journey from the depths of darkness into the infinite light of the Buddha. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on June 20, 2025.

The Spirit of the Child speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. Mother, I am the child who was never meant to be with you in this life. After I left you, my situations were consistently dire. I was terrified, and I wept incessantly. Deep in my heart, I kept longing for you to come and protect me. I waited and waited, and just when I had almost lost all hope, that moment finally arrived. I am so grateful that I finally reached this point."

From Darkness to the Light of Deliverance

"What I encountered was a magnificent, brilliant light—a warmth so powerful that it lifted me right out of the darkness. When that light shone upon me, my heart was suddenly filled with strength and a profound sense of comfort. This is what I had been yearning for all this time, and now, it has finally become a reality. I could not help but weep, but this time, my tears were tears of joy. I have been reborn, and for the first time, I see a future filled with immense hope. The Buddha-light has remained upon me, never fading, providing me with such an overwhelming sense of security. It assures me that I will never have to return to that dark, lonely place again."

Meeting Namo Amituofo

"It was only when Mother invited someone to guide me to the Buddha-land that I truly came to know Namo Amituofo. Namo Amituofo has been smiling at me with such infinite compassion. Upon seeing Namo Amituofo, I found myself speaking to Him naturally, from the depths of my heart. No matter what I said to Namo Amituofo, I felt nothing but a warm, healing energy surrounding me. It is a feeling I cannot fully describe with words, but it is the most comforting sensation I have ever known."

Release from Resentment

"After arriving at the Buddha-land, I realised that this is where I truly belong—by the side of Namo Amituofo. Through the process of purification, again and again, the resentment I once held toward Mother has completely vanished. I now understand that by sending me here to Namo Amituofo, Mother was doing what was truly best for me. Thank you, Mother. I hold no more grudges; I only hold gratitude."

A Wish for the Family

"Mother, the fact that you were able to encounter Namo Amituofo and place your faith in the Buddha in this lifetime is because you are a person of deep Goodness. Now that I have reached the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, my only wish is that Mother, Father, and the rest of our family can also come to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Only in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss can one find true, lasting happiness, free from all suffering. It is a place of perfect peace, and I want you all to be there with me."

"Having said all this, what I most want to express is my gratitude to you, Mother, for sending me to this Buddha-land. I pray that you are well in every way. May Namo Amituofo bless and protect you always. Your child. Namo Amituofo."
