This interview was recorded on January 30, 2026, featuring Lay Practitioner Lin Jingfu, the father of Lay Practitioner Lin Yanfang. Following his passing, Lin Jingfu initially descended into a dark and gloomy realm. Through the compassionate intervention of and Practitioner Su, he was guided to the Western Land of Nature to receive teachings. Having completed his learning, he has now been successfully reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, where he currently resides.
Lay Practitioner Lin Jingfu speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I have truly arrived at the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss today. My name is Lin Jingfu, and I never imagined that I would arrive here in such a manner. Having been here for only a few hours, I look back at everything in the human world, and it already feels distant and unfamiliar. In truth, when I passed away, I did not come directly here; I first descended into a dark, gloomy world.
The Call from the Light
In that dark realm, I never felt that I truly belonged there. I had an intuitive sense that I would soon be retrieved. I felt that I belonged to a world of light, and that one day, a beam of light would surely come to take me away. And it truly happened. Not long ago, I was indeed collected by a brilliant light. It was just a few weeks ago when I suddenly heard a voice calling out from the void: 'Lin Jingfu! Lin Jingfu!' I looked up, and there it was—a radiant light shining warmly upon me. My entire being felt incredibly pure and comfortable. In an instant, I followed that light and was transported to another realm, a place known as the Western Land of Dharma Nature.
Upon arriving there, I realised that this was a world of the Buddha. I was deeply moved. While we knew of the Buddha back in China, I had never truly understood the Dharma, nor did I have the opportunity to study it. Consequently, I had no real understanding of Namo Amituofo at the time. However, after arriving at the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I began to understand many profound truths. I am filled with immense gratitude toward the Buddha, Namo Amituofo, and Practitioner Su. I never expected to have such a magnificent opportunity to come here; this place is truly extraordinary. I am also deeply thankful to my daughter, Yanfang.
A Transformation of the Heart
During those few short weeks in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I went from knowing nothing about the Buddha to bowing down in complete reverence. I developed a sincere aspiration to become a Buddha myself. I became very obedient, listening closely to the teachings of Namo Amituofo—that one must be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss and practice diligently there to one day attain Buddhahood.
Later, I heard someone ask me: 'Lay Practitioner Lin Jingfu, do you wish to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss?' I realised that the time had come; my period of learning in the Western Land of Dharma Nature was complete. Without hesitation, I replied: 'I wish to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss!' And so, this morning, Practitioner Su brought us here to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Everything has transformed so rapidly; it is truly inconceivable! I never imagined that I would travel from a world of darkness to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss in just a few short weeks.
A Father's Peace of Mind
Although everything here feels unfamiliar, my state of mind is completely different from what it was before. Most comforting of all is seeing that my daughter, Yanfang, has begun to study the Buddha-Dharma. Moreover, she is studying the true, great Dharma, following Namo Amituofo and the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. Seeing this gives me great peace of mind. There are so many paths in the human world, but I can see things very clearly from here. Indeed, only by coming to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and seeking the guidance of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su can one have the opportunity to truly be reborn in the Western Land, achieve ultimate perfection, and escape the cycle of rebirth. This is a very clear fact, and it is a truth that everyone must accept.
