The Spirit of the Unborn Child speaks:
". I have finally seen Namo Amituofo! He is so full of , and He is smiling directly at me. I am so incredibly happy. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Practitioner Su for bringing me to this magnificent Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. I am filled with such —truly, I have never felt this happy before.
I have been following my mother for this entire lifetime. For so long, I never once considered leaving her side. She is my mother, after all. In my heart, I believed she was meant to care for me, and that she should care for me forever. Because of this, I vowed that I would never leave her. I would follow her everywhere, always, without exception.
I stayed within my mother’s body. Sometimes, I would intentionally make her angry. At other times, I would cause her body to feel extremely uncomfortable, or I would cloud her heart so she could not focus on anything. Deep down, I was harbouring so much resentment toward her. I used many different ways to disturb her, just to make her acknowledge my existence. Yet, she never realised that I was still there. She never knew that I had never truly left her side.
Now, my mother has grown old and is suffering from illness. If I had not been rescued this time, I had already made up my mind: even if my mother’s physical body were to perish and she stopped breathing, I would still follow her into the next life. Because she is my mother, it is only natural that I must follow her, no matter where she goes.
I never expected that I would be rescued. At that moment, I happened to be resting near The Head of my mother, just crouching there and watching her. Suddenly, a brilliant golden light appeared. I also heard voices calling out, though I did not know what those sounds were, nor did I know who was shouting. In an instant, I was drawn out. A very gentle, powerful force embraced me, and just like that, I was lifted away from my mother’s body and brought here to Practitioner Su.
I did not know Practitioner Su, nor did I know any of the people here. When I arrived, I saw so many people—so many other spirits like me. It was only then that I realised I was not alone at all. There were so many others here to keep me company.
I listened to the Dharma talks given by Practitioner Su, and only then did I begin to understand that the cycle of reincarnated life is such a painful, exhausting experience. It is not that I was not suffering before; it was simply that my resentment had completely overshadowed all of my pain. But after listening to the Dharma, I finally understood. I realised that I did not need to remain trapped by attachment to the past. Slowly, I began to let go of the hatred in my heart, and I became willing to follow the Buddha and leave that cycle behind.
I am doing very well now. Seeing the Buddha has brought me such immense joy. I want to thank the sister who helped me; I am the younger brother you never had the chance to meet in this world.
In this lifetime, my mother and I did not have the karmic affinity to live together, but I know for certain that she will eventually come to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. I will be here, waiting for her.
Miaoyin bows in reverence. Namo Amituofo."
