This is a record of an interview with Lay Practitioner Wang Hui, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his transition from the spirit realm to the Pure Land. Recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on January 17, 2026.
Lay Practitioner Wang Hui speaks:
". I have finally set foot upon the path to the Western Pure Land. I am Wang Hui. I was once a human being, then I became what people call a spirit, and now, miraculously, I have become a resident of the West, living alongside the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. It is truly a divine transformation! Such a thing might be hard for people to believe, but if there is someone in the human world who can practise until they realise their true nature and attain Buddhahood, then this is not surprising at all.
A Miraculous Deliverance
I am only here because I was saved by Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. My sister-in-law, Lay Practitioner Jingyi, performed the Chao Du for me. It is truly a display of great spiritual power that she was able to find this precious Buddha-land—the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia—to conduct the deliverance. Although it is so far away, if you look across the entire world, where else could one find a place capable of helping a spirit attain rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss? There is only the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre!
At this moment, I am filled with gratitude. I am overflowing with gratitude toward Namo Amituofo, Practitioner Su, and everything at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. And, of course, I am grateful to Jingyi. What immense good fortune she must have to be able to know of this place! I sincerely hope that my family and my wife will also place their faith in the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and come here to see it for themselves. If you have any doubts in your heart, once you arrive here, everything will naturally be resolved. This place is a Buddha-land in the truest sense of the word; it cannot deceive anyone. Everything here is like an open book, waiting for you to appreciate it slowly, because it is so vastly different from the human world.
The Beauty of the Pure Land
I was saved because Practitioner Su, an awakened being at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, brought Namo Amituofo to rescue me. Only then could I stop being a lonely spirit in the world of darkness and leap onto the path of leaving suffering behind and gaining happiness. The Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is truly magnificent. It is a land completely devoid of afflictions, unlike our human world where everyone carries some form of sorrow or unhappiness—these things are always unavoidable in the human realm, aren't they? But the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is truly different. Everyone here does not need to communicate through words; one look is enough to know exactly what the other person is expressing. Isn't that truly inconceivable?
Although I did not have the opportunity to draw close to the Buddha’s teachings while I was alive, my Buddhist affinity must have been quite deep. Now, as I listen to Namo Amituofo expound the sutras in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, there is not a single thing I do not understand. Everything is so natural. It is as if, once touched by the Buddha-light, one’s entire being becomes filled with Wisdom. It is truly beyond words!
A Message to My Family
Therefore, I sincerely urge my wife and my family members to follow the example of Jingyi, who knows the Buddha and recognises the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre as this precious land. This matter must be made known to more people; we cannot be vague about it. Because the Buddha has descended to Earth, not in China, but in Australia—this is a most magnificent event! This might not sound like the way I used to speak—haha—but I am no longer the person I once was. I am now a spirit of the West! I am a spirit that has been purified for quite some time, so naturally, I possess more Wisdom than the 'me' who lived in the human world.
I hope everyone has the opportunity to visit this place. Gratitude to Namo Amituofo, gratitude to Practitioner Su, and gratitude to everyone! Namo Amituofo."
