Venerable Ding Hong,
I am your mother, Zhao Liangyu. This is a message I am sending from the of Ultimate Bliss, and I have written this letter specifically for you.
A Mother’s Journey from Darkness to Light
After I passed away, I fell into the realm of snakes. It was Practitioner Su who reached out and saved me from that suffering. I spent some time in the Western Land of Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, where I wrote several letters. My hope was that you would come to see me off on my journey to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. I waited for you, but there was no news. I wanted to wait longer, but the opportunity to reach the Western Pure Land is something that is difficult to encounter in millions of years. Under the guidance and leading of Practitioner Su, I finally entered the Western Pure Land. I am filled with gratitude for the of the Buddha and for the kindness of Practitioner Su.
The Extraordinary Accomplishments of Practitioner Su
Ding Hong, you may wonder why I have begun to refer to Practitioner Su with such reverence. It is because Practitioner Su has successfully performed for immeasurable and boundless beings, helping them enter the Western Pure Land. He is constantly diligent in his practice. Not only has he cultivated several monastics who are willing to dedicate their lives to the Buddha’s gate and spread the Pure Land teachings, but he has also realised the himself. With this Dharma Body, he delivers beings from across the entire Milky Way into the Western Pure Land. Every day, the stories of these deliverances are shared online for all to see.
A Mother’s Heart Beyond the Veil of Death
Ding Hong, this is the truth! Why do you repeatedly reject these messages? You have even refused to listen to your own mother. Do you no longer recognise me as your mother? Do you think I am a fraud, or that I am trying to deceive you? You are my son, my only son! Although you have become a monastic and are honoured as a teacher of celestial beings, and although I should address you formally as Venerable Ding Hong, in my heart, you will always be that obedient, sensible, and understanding son. All the encounters in this lifetime are born from Causal Conditions; when those conditions cease, the manifestations also cease. Does the fact that your mother has passed away mean that our relationship has been severed?
The Urgent Call for Genuine Deliverance
Practitioner Su possesses the genuine skill of Chao Du. We see this clearly from the Western Pure Land. It is precisely because his work is so inconceivable that you have chosen to disbelieve and reject it. Ding Hong, because it is so inconceivable, you must seize this opportunity to come and see for yourself. You must learn the true skill of Chao Du. Only then will your acquaintance with Practitioner Su not be in vain. Only then will you truly be able to deliver sentient beings to the Western Pure Land during this age of the Dharma’s decline. Do not simply perform the one after another while the beings you intend to save remain unable to reach the Western Pure Land, and while your own body becomes increasingly heavy and your face grows weary with the burdens of life. Ding Hong, I ask you again: although you are a monastic and can serve as the lead of the ceremony, do you have absolute certainty of your own rebirth in the Western Pure Land? This is the most important matter of all! You cannot give a vague or simulated answer; you must be certain. Otherwise, you may find yourself entering the six realms of rebirth once again. That would be a tragedy! This life is your final opportunity. What will become of you in the next life? You do not know. Like me, when I was a snake, it is a pitiful state to be in. Fortunately, thanks to you, Practitioner Su came to know you, and I was given the chance to reach the Western Pure Land.
