The Sacred Art of Transforming the Heart
To adjust and transform your heart and actions is a fundamental process in your spiritual journey. It means to consciously refine your mental notes and your outward behaviour. Before one reaches the state of an awakened being, it is easy to be controlled by the manifestation of . If your heart and actions are driven by the influence of beings who seek to create negative karma, you must act immediately to adjust your course and avoid committing further wrongs.
At such times, you require the guidance of those who have already walked the path. This includes the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the ancestral masters, your teacher, and a virtuous guide. Without their direction, you may not realise where you are creating negative karma, nor will you know the correct direction in which to turn. If your heart and actions deviate from the path, you are inadvertently creating more negative karma. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance that your practice is always aligned with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way.
Navigating by the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way
Adjusting your heart and actions is a practice that must be applied at any time and in any place. It is not limited by your location or the hour of the day. You must constantly align yourself with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. This transformation involves several vital shifts in your inner state:
- From evil to goodness
- From rigidity to softness and flexibility
- From a state filled with the energy of impurity to a state of purification
- From seeking external validation and complaining about your grievances to the practice of chanting Namo Amituofo, performing prostrations, and reciting the Sutras
When you allow your heart to settle into this state of stillness, your Wisdom is naturally revealed. Everything that has passed is gone; you must grasp the present moment and turn your focus inward.
The Harmonious Union of Self-Effort and Buddha’s Grace
When you engage in diligent practice, you receive the support of the Buddha's Wisdom, merit, and majestic power. Simultaneously, this practice opens your own inner Wisdom. Through the support of these two powers—your own effort and the Buddha's —your problems will naturally be resolved or even eliminated, and your spirit will be elevated.
However, if your heart and actions are directed outward, seeking to be heard or looking to others for solutions, you are likely to be led by your karma. In such a state, you may find that your , attached spirits, or even demon crowds take charge of your life. When your and thoughts are dominated by these influences, you are drawn away from the practice of chanting, prostrating, and reciting the Sutras. In such a condition, how can you avoid falling into states of or being influenced by other dimensions?
Turning Back to the Light of the Buddha
My child, it is time to change your direction. Adjust your heart and actions. Let go of the worldly path and do not continue to revolve within the cycle of karma, where it is difficult to be the master of your own life and where you must endure endless suffering.
Please make good use of chanting Namo Amituofo, performing prostrations, and reciting the Sutras. Because of the Buddha's blessings and support, you will be able to increase your meditative concentration, open your Wisdom, eliminate your afflictions, and dissolve your disasters and obstacles. Only by doing this can you truly resolve your problems and continue to move forward on the Buddha's path until you reach the state of an awakened being.
