In this thirty-third instalment of his ongoing series of talks, Practitioner Su delves into the profound spiritual practices of transforming one's thoughts and the necessity of repenting. These teachings are presented as a direct dialogue with , offering a clear path for all practitioners seeking to align their hearts with the of Ultimate Bliss.
To transform one's thoughts is to shift from a state of confusion to one of awakening. It is the process of moving away from the wrong paths of the world and turning towards the purity of the Buddha's light. When you practise this, you are not merely changing your mind; you are fundamentally altering the trajectory of your life. By constantly chanting Namo Amituofo, you allow the Buddha's wisdom to replace the of greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance, and doubt.
Repenting is not an act of self-condemnation, but a vital step in clearing the obstacles created by our past . It is the act of acknowledging our mistakes before Namo Amituofo and resolving to never repeat them. Through sincere repenting, we cleanse our body, mind, and spirit, allowing the light of our true nature to shine through once more. This practice is essential for anyone who wishes to leave suffering behind and find true, lasting happiness.
The essence of these teachings lies in the intimate connection between the practitioner and Namo Amituofo. By engaging in this internal dialogue, you learn to listen to the Buddha's guidance at all times. This is how we maintain our focus on the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. When you speak to the Buddha from the depths of your heart, you find the strength to overcome the cycle of rebirth and secure your path to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
May all beings find the courage to transform their thoughts and the humility to repent, ultimately returning to the embrace of Namo Amituofo.
