What do we mean when we speak of the horizon? It is the boundary where the earth meets the sky. When we look out with our physical eyes, we perceive the horizon as a simple meeting of colours: the hue of the sky, the drifting of clouds, and the flight of birds. Yet, we must ask ourselves: what lies beyond this visible edge? What exists past the limit of our sight?
For the human body, the horizon is a barrier. We cannot see beyond it, nor can we intuitively know what lies in the distance. However, modern science and astronomy have allowed us to peer further. We can now observe, touch, and measure the changes in the sky. We can see the vastness of space, the movement of planets, and the celestial phenomena that were once hidden from our ancestors.
While technology has expanded our reach, it remains fundamentally limited. There are vast reaches of the realm and countless celestial bodies that modern science and astronomy cannot yet explore. These realms are not merely distant; they are dimensions that our physical eyes cannot see and our instruments cannot touch. Within these hidden spaces, there exist countless spirit realm beings and infinite dimensions of existence.
The is the spiritual state that transcends these physical limitations. It is the ultimate technology, far surpassing the capabilities of modern science. When one realises the Dharma Body, one can enter the horizon and perceive the reality of these countless spaces and the conditions of the spirit realm beings residing within them. This is a level of understanding that science, constrained by its reliance on physical observation, struggles to break through.
The spirit realm is a reality that is closely related to our daily lives. Even when we look at the horizon, we must understand that spirit realm beings are omnipresent. They are everywhere, woven into the fabric of existence. All beings within the six realms of rebirth are subject to the laws of and the causes and effects of their actions. Everything we see, hear, and touch within the entire Dharma realm is a manifestation of the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way.
This is the factual truth of the universe: everything manifests and disappears within the flow of karmic conditions and the causes and effects of our actions.
When you truly enter the horizon, you will realise that the worlds beyond are not separate from you. They are contained within this very body. Your body is a universe in itself, a microcosm of the entire Dharma realm. This is the profound truth of the teaching that a mustard seed can contain Mount Sumeru, and Mount Sumeru can be contained within a mustard seed.
By entering the horizon through the power of the Dharma Body, one can perform the work of on an infinite scale. This is the moment of salvation for beings and demon crowds who have been trapped in suffering for millions of years. It is a rare and precious encounter, one that is difficult to find in millions of years. We must cherish this opportunity to leave suffering behind and find happiness through the practice of .
