The Human Quest for Serenity
In this life, what is it that we truly seek? We all hope to pass through our days in peace and smoothness, free from the turbulence of life's challenges. Yet, how many of us truly find this lasting peace? If you wish for everything to be at peace, you must first turn your gaze inward and ask yourself: how does the heart find true stillness?
The stability of the heart begins with one fundamental practice: the practice of having no-seeking. When the heart seeks nothing, you will naturally find peace in any situation you encounter. When your heart is filled with contentment, you can find peace in every single moment, regardless of the external conditions that may arise.
The Nature of the Heart's Reaction
Peace and restlessness are merely fluctuations of the human heart. Whether you feel at peace or unsettled, these are simply reactions to external circumstances. They are not the true nature of your original mind. Within the void of existence, both peace and restlessness naturally exist as potential states. The question is: what are you manifesting in your daily life? Are you choosing to dwell in peace, or are you choosing to be unsettled by the passing phenomena of the world?
The Manifestation of a Pure Heart
To have everything at peace, you need only to let go of all seeking. Peace will naturally manifest within a pure heart. Because in that present moment, you will naturally choose the phenomenon of peace—the brighter, more wholesome side of existence. Do not dwell within the phenomena of restlessness. Peace is something you create for yourself. When you stop seeking, you will find that peace was always there, waiting for you to return to it. Namo Amituofo.
