This is a record of an interview with Li Kefan, the Mountain God of East Tianmu Mountain, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Nature. This account reflects upon his four millennia of service. Recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on November 6, 2020.

Li Kefan speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Li Kefan, the Mountain God of East Tianmu Mountain. I have been dispatched from the heavenly realms to serve as the guardian of this mountain for four thousand years.

Ever since Practitioner Su mentioned yesterday that he intended to interview the spirit of Tianmu Mountain, I arrived immediately and have been waiting ever since. The sound of Practitioner Su’s Dharma voice travels through the air with incredible speed. The message is transmitted almost instantaneously, and the corresponding party receives it at the very same moment. This is especially true because the one sending the message, and the place from which it is sent, are both purified—it is a place of purification. Such a message is embraced and protected by all spirits throughout the Dharma Realm. I received the message at that exact moment and came here immediately, prepared to be interviewed. Both the Dharma Realm and the spiritual realms know that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia is the place where Namo Amituofo is residing here. It is a holy site where countless sentient beings have sought deliverance and have been reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. To be interviewed by this centre is an opportunity that is difficult to encounter in millions of years."

The Majesty of East Tianmu Mountain

"East Tianmu Mountain is located in Zhejiang Province, China. It is one of the most famous and ancient mountains in the region. The mountain range stretches endlessly, with peaks connecting layer upon layer. Ancient trees reach toward the heavens, and the steep terrain only adds to its grandeur. The intersection of the two mountains resembles a pair of eyes, and because the high mountain reaches toward the sky—with the heavens as its crown—it is named 'Tianmu' or 'Heavenly Eye' Mountain. Clouds and mist swirl around the mountain, and ancient temples are nestled within. Since ancient times, countless emperors, officials, scholars, and poets have visited this place to compose poetry and prose, praising the wonders of nature. It is a place of profound spiritual energy and an excellent location for practitioners to engage in quiet retreats.

A Witness to History and Practice

During my four thousand years as the Mountain God, I have witnessed wars and the rise and fall of many dynasties, yet this mountain has remained standing throughout the ages. Within the ancient temples, many dedicated practitioners have spent their lives in cultivation. In modern times, Lay Practitioner Qi Suping made a vow to renovate the ancient temples and establish a Pure Land chanting bodhimanda. Many monastics and lay practitioners have gathered there for group cultivation, all seeking rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Many miraculous events have been reported, and the site has received the protection of Dharma protectors, gods, and spirits.

The Shortcut to the Western Pure Land

Today, I am overjoyed to hear that Namo Amituofo has descended into the human world and is currently residing at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. This is something I had never heard of before, but in the Dharma Realm, we know this to be a fact, and all are filled with immense . This place is truly a shortcut to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Although I am the Mountain God of East Tianmu Mountain and one of the Dharma protectors for the East Tianmu Mountain Pure Land chanting bodhimanda, causal conditions are unpredictable. I never expected that under these circumstances, Practitioner Su would open this path of convenience, allowing me to be interviewed. It is also a magnificent blessing that Namo Amituofo is here, leading the ! We take this opportunity to humbly request deliverance."

Namo Amituofo.
