This is a record of an interview with a young spirit who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his recent transition from the suffering of the human realm to the of the Pure Land. Recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on November 9, 2025.

The Infant Spirit speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. My hands and feet are finally reconnected. If they had not been, I would still be in pieces. Even though I am an infant spirit who was aborted not long ago, I do not feel like a baby at all. I feel like a grown adult. I truly do not know why it is this way, but that is how I perceive myself.

For the longest time, I remained exactly where I had been aborted. I was in constant, excruciating pain, wailing and crying out, but no one could hear me. No one paid me the slightest bit of attention. In that dark, lonely space, I was completely and utterly alone.

The Warmth of the Buddha-light

I cried until I had absolutely no strength left, and then I just lay there in the silence. I could see my own hands and feet lying separated from my body, but I was helpless. I could not do anything to fix it. I just waited in that misery until, suddenly, a brilliant, warm light shone down upon me. In an instant, my hands and feet were miraculously reconnected. I was so happy! I felt a joy I had never known before.

After that, the light brought me here to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. It softened the intense pain I had been carrying for so long. My heart finally became calm. Before this, I was so angry. I kept asking myself, 'Why did this happen to me? Why did I have to have a mother like that?' But that light seemed to be comforting me, soothing my heart, and helping me let go of the pain and sorrow. I know now that this light is called the Buddha-light.

A New Life in the Western Land

Today, I was brought here by Practitioner Su. This place is called the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. It is so bright here! I can actually run around, and I find myself laughing with such genuine happiness. The air here is so fragrant; everywhere I go, I smell sweet, wonderful scents. It is completely different from the smell of blood I remember from the moment of my abortion.

It is incredible how much a life can change. In such a short amount of time, I have experienced so many things. What was once a source of deep sorrow has now turned into a source of pure joy. I used to be so furious, wondering why I had such a mother, but now I understand. It is precisely because I had that mother that I was able to come to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Sweet Delights and Gratitude

This place is so vast, so bright, and everything is so solid and magnificent. There is even sweet water to drink, and I drink it with such delight. I am still a very small child at heart, and I love sweet things. I found myself thinking about delicious chocolates, candies, and biscuits, and to my amazement, they appeared right before my eyes! I laughed so hard. I thought to myself, 'Can I really eat these?' And then, they just jumped right into my mouth! It feels like I am dreaming. Is this real? It is absolutely wonderful! This is truly a magnificent place, and I love it here so much.

At this moment, I want to say thank you to my mother. Thank you for helping me receive Chao Du. Suddenly, I feel so grateful to have been your child.

I also want to thank Namo Amituofo. I have learned to chant 'Namo Amituofo.' I heard it all the time while I was at the temple. Everyone there chants 'Namo Amituofo,' but Practitioner Su’s voice is the most powerful of all. I love listening to her the most. That is why I often chant 'Namo Amituofo' along with Practitioner Su, especially during the Chao Du ceremonies.

I want to thank Practitioner Su. She not only saved me but also taught me how to chant 'Namo Amituofo.' And thank you, Mother. Namo Amituofo."
