From the Ant Hill to the Western Pure Land
An Interview with the Late Kao Chin-yen of Uni-President
The First Letter from the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss

This is a record of an interview with the late Mr. Kao Chin-yen, the founder of Uni-President Enterprises, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his transition from the cycle of rebirth to the Pure Land. Recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on June 11, 2017.
Venerable HaiZe speaks:
"Mr. Kao, Namo Amituofo. The previous interview content has been sent out, but we have not received any response. I would like to ask, Mr. Kao, do you have anything you would like to say to everyone?"
Kao Chin-yen speaks:
"Greetings, everyone! I am Chin-yen. I imagine you might find it hard to believe—how could Chin-yen possibly be using such a method to tell you all that I am now in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss! This is, by its very nature, an inconceivable matter. Even if you are family members who do not believe this, come here and take a look for yourselves, and you will know whether what I say is true or not."
The Busy Life of an Ant
"Truly, when I was alive, I was busy and bustling without a moment of rest. I spent my entire life building an empire, constantly moving, constantly planning. But after I died, I ended up becoming an ant, and I was still busy and bustling, working away just the same. It is a strange irony, is it not? This is something no one would believe, yet it is the absolute truth. Regardless of anything else, I am now in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss! It was Practitioner Su of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre who rescued me from that pile of ants. She reached out into the depths of my suffering and pulled me back from that tiny, frantic existence."
The Power of Deliverance
"Since she was able to rescue even someone in my situation, you can understand that Practitioner Su of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre can save even more beings to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Furthermore, she is also very skilled at treating illnesses. Many illnesses are related to . If you have an illness that cannot be cured, you can come and seek her help. Whether it is effective or not, you will know once you come and experience it for yourself."
Truth vs. Fiction
"I see things very clearly now. Many things that are the truth are not believed by anyone, whereas embellished stories are more stirring to the heart, and people are more willing to accept and listen to them. In fact, if you come here, you can converse with me, and you will know whether what I say is true or not. If reporters wish to come, I would welcome them even more. Our relationship between Uni-President and the media was always quite good, and this first-hand information is of great value. Very well, I shall stop here! Those who believe will believe; those who do not will not. It is a matter of individual Causal Conditions, and one cannot force it. Namo Amituofo."
