Inviting the Buddha to abide in this world has been the deepest aspiration of practitioners and monastics from ancient times to the present day. This is because the presence of the Buddha allows one to:

• Practise and purify oneself until one reaches the state of Awakening.
• Once Awakening is attained, gain the ability to freely travel to and from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
• Assist one's parents and teachers from countless past lives, as well as karmic creditors and attached spirits.
• Help even the demon crowds to receive Chao Du, allowing them to escape the three evil realms—the ghost realm, the animal realm, and the hells—and the suffering of earthly creatures.
• Provide these beings with the opportunity to chant Namo Amituofo and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss or in the fortunate realms of the heavens or the human world.

You must give your all, for this human body is difficult to obtain, and it is only through the maturation of many causal conditions that you have attained it.
