The Inevitable Nature of External Conditions

My dear children in the , you must understand that every external person, event, object, or environment you encounter—including toxins, poisons, viruses, and bacteria—exists for a reason. These phenomena are manifestations of karmic causes and conditions. When these forces act upon your physical body and cause you to endure the suffering of illness, it is easy to feel overwhelmed or lost. However, you must remember that your physical body is merely a vessel. If your heart and your spirit can remain stable, if you can truly hold firm, you will not be defeated by these external circumstances.

The Power of Unwavering Devotion

When you are faced with adversity, you must cultivate wholesome thoughts and pure thoughts. You must choose to think well and see the good in all things. Most importantly, you must chant the name of Namo Amituofo continuously, letting the Buddha-name flow straight from your heart. Even when you find yourself in a state of deep distress or confusion, you must hold onto the Buddha-name with all your might. By holding onto the Buddha-name, you are holding onto your own spirit. The power of Namo Amituofo and the light of the Buddha will surely support you, my children. This support will clear the path through your difficulties and provide the solution to your suffering. If you can maintain this state of mind, you will have successfully passed this test of life.

Reflecting on the Path of Practice

If you find that your difficulties do not resolve and your suffering remains, you must pause and reflect. You should ask yourself where your practice has deviated from the Dharma. Perhaps there is a place where you have not yet seen the truth, or where your actions are not yet in accordance with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. If you can identify these areas, change your ways, and shift your perspective, you will find the opportunity to transform your situation. The path to liberation is always open to those who are willing to correct their course.

The Spirit of Resilience

Holding firm is not merely a physical act; it is a state of spirit, a profound perseverance, and an unwavering faith. This resilience generates a powerful, positive energy that influences not only your own life but also the lives of those around you. It allows you to lead others in overcoming their own obstacles. In the context of your practice, holding firm and engaging in diligent practice without pause is an essential attitude. It is the way you face the world, break through barriers, and conquer the problems that arise. By maintaining this attitude, you will find the strength to help your practice move forward, step by step, toward the ultimate goal of rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss.
