The Impartiality of the Laws of

During the third session of the , Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju offered profound guidance on the nature of existence. He began by reminding us to clearly understand the laws of karma and cause and effect. Whether one is a noble aristocrat or an ordinary person, the consequences of one's actions are inescapable. The laws of karma and cause and effect apply to everyone with absolute impartiality, ensuring that every seed sown eventually bears its corresponding fruit.

Transcending the Pollutants of the World

We must also clearly recognise that the and are sources of impurity. These are the attachments that bind us to the cycle of reincarnated suffering. To avoid the endless cycle of rebirth and the associated karmic suffering, one must distance oneself from these worldly entanglements. By understanding the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, we can walk our path in peace and safety. No one can bypass these truths; they are the foundation upon which all existence rests.

The Illusion of Samsara and the Truth of the Spirit

Many fear birth, aging, sickness, and death, yet these are only obstacles if we remain in ignorance. When one achieves the state of an awakened being, one transcends the limitations of aging and sickness. Through rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss, we realise that while the physical body may perish, the spirit remains eternal. We must understand that the cycle of rebirth is an illusion, not the ultimate truth. By putting our vows into practice, we can shatter these illusions, eliminate our karmic burdens, and finally perceive the truth of our existence.

The Mind-Only Nature of All Dharmas

It is essential to understand that all dharmas are mind-only. The state of our heart determines our reality; the difference between becoming a Buddha and becoming a demon lies in a single thought. When we realise that all things are one within our true self, we touch the ultimate reality of the universe. By cultivating a vast mind-capacity and , we awaken our innate sensitivity and awareness. This light of wisdom will eventually shine forth, leading us to attain Buddhahood and fulfil the Buddha's path. This message was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
