The Weight of Our Past

To the fourfold assembly of disciples gathered here at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, we must ask ourselves: how often are we reminded of the truth, yet how long does it take for us to truly face our own hearts? We live our lives day after day, receiving constant guidance, yet we often remain strangers to our own true nature. The karmic debts we have accumulated over countless lifetimes are as vast as Mount Sumeru. Not a single one of these debts is small; they are all significant, and they weigh heavily upon our spirits. Therefore, the urgency of repenting in every passing second cannot be overstated.

The Rare Opportunity for

When the pain of illness or suffering passes, it often vanishes like smoke or clouds, leaving us to forget the lessons we were meant to learn. Yet, for those who have been harmed by our past actions—our —this is a time for their own awakening. You have encountered this sacred place, a once-in-a-thousand-years opportunity. Through the diligent practice of the fourfold assembly, there is a powerful force of deliverance that can help these beings find their way to rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. If you are waiting for your karmic creditors to repent first, you are only trapping yourself in an endless cycle of suffering. Do not wait; do not let your attachment to the past destroy your future. You must let go immediately, for your ultimate goal is to become a Buddha.

The Path of the Sages

Throughout the ages, the great sages and masters have all sought the same destination: the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. If you allow your diligent practice to become skewed by personal bias or attachment, you risk falling into the sea of the hell realms, from which it is difficult to escape. My words today are not spoken for my own sake, but because I have witnessed the suffering of beings for thousands of years. They follow us, breath after breath, seeking justice for the harms of the past, only to find that in seeking revenge, they too suffer. The laws of and cause and effect are unfailing; everyone must bear the consequences of their actions.

A Bright Future Through Letting Go

The only true path is to leave these cycles behind and focus on becoming a Buddha. By expanding your mind-capacity, you will find that you are the first to benefit. Only by walking the path here at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre can we resolve these karmic debts and send all beings to the West. If you continue to hold onto your attachments, you are merely acting in ignorance, repeating the same cycles of rebirth that have lasted for millennia. In this current age, many negative influences and demon crowds have arrived, attempting to distort the truth and turn white into black. We must cast aside these influences, focus on becoming a Buddha, and leave suffering behind forever. To all karmic creditors, I counsel you to listen: let go of your grievances, and you will see a bright future ahead. Namo Amituofo.
