Keep Moving Forward: The Path of Saving Beings
Teachings from Namo Amituofo
Recorded by Venerable HaiZe on April 21, 2023

The Endless Call to
Namo Amituofo instructs us that the steps we take to save all beings must continue to move forward. There are countless beings, filling every corner of space and every dimension, who are waiting for the light of salvation. If you can persist in moving forward, you become the very hope that these beings have for their own salvation. You must remember that you are also one of these beings, walking the same path toward potential liberation.
As you move forward, do not be overly concerned with what the future holds or what your current situations may be. As long as your actions are intended to benefit others and to help them leave suffering behind, you should do them. You must do them with a sincere heart.
The Sanctuary of Namo Amituofo
At Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, Namo Amituofo truly abides. Because of this, as long as your actions, your heart, your vows, and your practice are in alignment with Namo Amituofo, you will receive the protection and companionship of the Buddha. You are never walking this path alone.
Understanding the Roots of Suffering
Why is the weight of suffering so heavy, and why is it so difficult to save beings? It is because we live in a defiled and evil world of suffering. Many beings lack the benefit of the True Teachings and the Buddha’s teachings. Because they are constantly influenced by the external environment, their thoughts and behaviours become distorted. Furthermore, they are often disturbed by their own and their , leaving them unable to take charge of their own lives. Consequently, they repeatedly commit errors without even realising they are doing so, which causes the sufferings of birth, aging, sickness, and death to manifest in their lives.
Without the opportunity to encounter a true spiritual friend to assist them, they do not know how to face or endure these challenges. This inability to cope only adds more suffering to their existing burdens.
The Challenges of the Age of 's Decline
In this age of the Dharma’s decline, it is truly difficult to understand the reality of the truth, to act according to the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, and to solve one's problems while maintaining correct knowledge and views. To successfully leave suffering behind and attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is an arduous task indeed. It is not easy at all.
In this current age, the demon path is active, which causes the Buddha’s teachings to fade. While many people chant the name of the Buddha, very few actually achieve rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. If you live a human life but only form a superficial connection with the Pure Land and Namo Amituofo, and you do not achieve rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss in this lifetime, you will simply fall back into the six realms of rebirth. You will remain an ordinary person trapped in the cycle of life and death, and you will not have reached the ultimate goal.
The Promise of Liberation
The True Teachings and the Buddha’s teachings are meant to guide and lead all beings. When you are in this physical body, these teachings help you avoid being troubled by the sufferings of birth, aging, sickness, and death. They help you leave suffering behind and enable you to vow to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, ensuring that your wish is fulfilled.
For the practitioner, the goal is to reach an awakened state where you are free from the cycle of life and death. This allows you to save yourself and to help other beings attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is not merely a dream. At Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, Practitioner Su has already provided the testimony. Today, under the protection of Namo Amituofo, we are taking one step at a time, leading all disciples to keep moving forward.
