Messages from the Heart of Namo Amituofo
A Preface to the Collection of Discourses by Namo Amituofo
March 31, 2021

The messages from the heart of Namo Amituofo have entered this world. Every word carries the Buddha’s heart, the Buddha’s vows, and the Buddha’s actions. It is my sincere wish that all who see and hear these words will realise the Buddha-heart within themselves, for every being is originally pure and possesses the same nature as the Buddha.
However, due to the accumulated through aeons of reincarnation, beings have become lost, their original nature obscured by ignorance. Fortunately, the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre stands in this world, acting in accordance with the Buddha’s heart and vows to provide salvation. Practitioner Su is known to all spirits as a conduit for this wisdom, and he leads the where the Buddha himself presides over the of beings. Countless spirits come forward seeking Chao Du, and the Buddha’s words of guidance encourage the fourfold assembly of disciples.
Compiling these teachings into a book is no small task. One might ask, where can the Buddha’s teachings truly be found? They are found only where Namo Amituofo truly abides—at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. The Buddha’s vow is for everyone to attain purity, to fulfil their wish for rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and to see the light of the Pure Land shining brightly here at the Centre.
The Eternal Presence of Namo Amituofo
I am Namo Amituofo. The Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss was established ten kalpas ago. Throughout these ten kalpas, I have never left the Western Pure Land, and I shall never leave it in the future. Yet, today, I truly abide at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, and I have never left this temple. The Buddha-heart is revealed within this temple, the Buddha’s vows are exalted here, and the Buddha-actions are performed here at every moment. This is truly a temple of the Buddha. I am also present in the hearts of those who exclusively chant My name and practise according to My vows.
This collection, Messages from the Heart of Namo Amituofo, consists of the teachings I have delivered during the Thrice Yearning Ceremonies at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Every passage is a direct expression of the truth. In this age of the ’s decline, human hearts are restless. Some appear calm but hide deep uncertainty, while others force themselves to claim that all is well when it is not. In truth, the heart can be like a spark ready to ignite; if it catches fire, it will only bring harm to oneself and others. If beings can encounter these messages, they may extinguish that fire and resolve their inner anxiety. If they can wholeheartedly recite the six-syllable Holy Name, "Namo Amituofo," and keep the Buddha in every thought—aligning their hearts, faith, and vows with Mine—they will surely attain the fruits of purification, the transformation of karma, and rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
The Karmic Roots of Global Suffering
When we observe the plagues and disasters in the world today, we must recognise that the primary cause is the mutation of the human heart. People must acknowledge their disregard for lives other than their own and their tendency to ignore the existence of the spiritual lives of animals. A nation is built upon its people; when the people are healthy, the nation is secure, but when the people are distressed, the nation is in danger. We must be cautious.
Why has this pandemic primarily impacted the tourism and hospitality industries, subsequently affecting aviation and other sectors, leading to massive economic losses for nations? There is an undeniable cause and effect at work. Through this pandemic, people are paying a heavy price for their past actions. I truly cannot bear to see the spirits and humanity trapped in this cycle of . Let me offer a few words of counsel: humanity has caused great harm to animal life in the pursuit of healing and extending human life. Furthermore, to satisfy their appetites, people have engaged in the mass slaughter, capture, and killing of various meat-producing creatures. When these animals die, the fear they experience accumulates into massive resentment. When this energy rebounds upon humanity, it manifests as a powerful negative force, leaving people utterly defenseless, just as the animals were defenseless when they were captured and slaughtered.
The Power of Collective Vows
Now that the pandemic has resurfaced, the only solution is for the Buddha’s light to shine upon us. We must expound the Dharma to advise both people and spirits to release their enmity. We must engage in intensive repentance and Chao Du, and establish Thrice Yearning Ceremonies to avert calamities and pray for , specifically to perform Chao Du for the spirits associated with this pandemic. If national leaders were to preside over such a large-scale national collective karma deliverance Dharma assembly, and if I were to lead the ceremony, it would be highly effective in resolving the resentment of these spirits. It would relieve their suffering in the dark realms, help them find a bright destination in the Western Buddha Land, and encourage them to let go of their grievances.
I will personally lead these spirits to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, thereby preventing further harm to human hearts, lives, national strength, and the economy. This will surely help to alleviate or even resolve the pandemic. I hope that all beings can hear, understand, and act upon these words.
A Path to Peace and Deliverance
The only way forward is to transform the human heart: practise good, speak good, think good, cease evil, and understand the laws of karma and cause and effect. The suffering experienced today is undoubtedly the result of negative causes sown in the past; this is the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. The Holy Name "Namo Amituofo" is the extremely pure and good positive energy, empowered by the vow-power of My Forty-eight Great Vows. When the collective aspirations of the people are gathered, and they chant the name with one heart and one voice, there will be an inconceivable power that can relieve all suffering, transform all hindrances, and remove plagues. One must only believe, vow, and act with sincerity.
At the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, the spirits in the underworld and the earthly creatures in Goombungee, Toowoomba, and Brisbane have already, under the guidance of Practitioner Su’s , joined their hearts to chant the name "Namo Amituofo." As a result, they have received the response of successful rain prayers, resolving the long-term drought situation.
All dharmas are mind-only. It is My wish that people, the spirits of the underworld, and all sentient beings exclusively chant My name. This will bring peace and happiness to their minds, without fear. Through the Thrice Yearning Ceremony, they will receive Chao Du, and I will lead them to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, where they will no longer suffer, but only receive all happiness.
