The Origins of the of Ultimate Bliss

In an era so distant that it defies all human measurement, a Buddha known as Lokesvararaja Buddha appeared in our world. During the forty-two kalpas in which he expounded the , there lived a great monarch known as King Shi Rao. Upon hearing the teachings of Lokesvararaja Buddha, the King came to a profound realisation: while the physical body is bound by the constraints of time, the spirit is immortal. He understood that if one continues to live an ordinary life, the spirit will eventually be forced to depart when its time is up. Without a destination, these spirits wander aimlessly, much like the countless ghosts that currently permeate our Earth.

The King also understood that the human body is a marvel of advanced technology. Through diligent practice, one can maintain the body's cells, preventing aging and illness. This is evidenced by Practitioner Su, who, at eighty years of age, remains free from the ravages of time and sickness. Recognising that one must utilise this finite body to elevate the spirit, King Shi Rao renounced his throne and his royal life to become a monk, taking the name .

The Vows of Dharmakara Bhikshu

After leaving the secular world, Dharmakara Bhikshu applied himself to his practice with unparalleled diligence. He focused on the constant purification of his own being, demonstrating a boldness far exceeding that of others. He worked to eradicate his Seven Emotions and , as well as the habits and personality traits associated with the Five Desires:

  • Wealth
  • Lust
  • Fame
  • Food
  • Sleep

He broke through the tests of and entered into the deeper dimensions of space. Following the teachings of Lokesvararaja Buddha, he remained steadfast, overcoming every obstacle and bottleneck with a single-minded belief in the salvation of all beings.

One day, Dharmakara Bhikshu approached Lokesvararaja Buddha and asked: "I have made a vow that my heart shall be as the Buddha's heart. How can I establish a magnificent Buddha-land to welcome all beings from the human realm and beyond, providing them with a pure environment for their practice?" Knowing the depth and breadth of his vow, and aware that the human realm lacked proper education and was heavily burdened by spiritual attachments, Lokesvararaja Buddha spent one hundred billion years explaining the infinite and boundless Buddha-lands to him. After hearing these teachings, Dharmakara Bhikshu made a supreme vow. He spent five kalpas fully comprehending the merits of these lands before carefully drafting the blueprint for his own Buddha-land: the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. He then presented his forty-eight great vows to Lokesvararaja Buddha, swearing that he would not attain Buddhahood unless every single one of them was fulfilled.

The Compassionate Mission of Practitioner Su

For thirty years, Practitioner Su has engaged in diligent practice. Through continuous purification, she has regained her innate natural abilities, including the ability to perceive the spiritual realms that remain hidden from most people. Witnessing the suffering of beings in the spirit realm who had no one to save them, she and several like-minded practitioners established a Buddhist group known as the Hsiang Kuang Room. They led the public in learning the Buddha's teachings, understanding the laws of and cause and effect, and recognising the existence of Namo Amituofo and the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Seeing the helplessness of people facing birth, aging, sickness, and death, Practitioner Su has spent years helping others resolve the hatred they accumulated in past lives. Ten years ago, she suffered a severe injury when her legs were attacked by , resulting in a torn tendon in her left leg. She has borne this suffering on behalf of others without a single complaint. Even while enduring immense physical pain, her faith in Namo Amituofo remained absolute. She has never used medication nor sought medical treatment, continuing instead to teach others about the path to the Western Pure Land. Her is boundless; she has helped countless people resolve their grievances with the spirits attached to them, thereby alleviating the aging and illness caused by these attachments and performing to help these spirits reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

The Establishment of Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre

Because Practitioner Su’s heart and vows are in perfect alignment with the Buddha, she attracted the attention of Namo Amituofo, who came to the Hsiang Kuang Room. Under his guidance, she led the community to establish the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. Since that time, Namo Amituofo is residing here. Following the instructions of Namo Amituofo and inspired by Practitioner Su, several practitioners have renounced their secular lives to become monks and nuns. Together with volunteers, they cultivate the path at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Under the guidance of Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su, they cultivate a pure and good heart, developing the natural abilities inherent in everyone to communicate with the Buddha and all things in nature, helping people move away from the pain of aging, sickness, and death.

Resolving the Drought and the Pandemic

Five years ago, when Practitioner Su led the back to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, Australia was suffering from a severe drought, and the COVID-19 pandemic was spreading globally. People were selfish and attached to their physical bodies, unaware that this body is merely a temporary vessel. In Australia, the consumption of meat—particularly beef—is common. Because animals possess spirits, the act of killing them created a karmic condition where the resentful spirits of slaughtered cattle and other animals were blocking the rain, resulting in the drought.

Namo Amituofo, in his great compassion, knew that the human realm lacked proper Buddhist education. Together with Practitioner Su, they began teaching people to chant the Holy Name of "Namo Amituofo" and to change their personality traits. They also taught the spirits of the cattle in the atmosphere to chant. This Holy Name contains the great majestic power, the great meritorious power, and the great fearless power of Namo Amituofo, whose Dharma-body pervades the Dharma-realm. Chanting this name can open the dimensions of space. Namo Amituofo emitted a brilliant and gentle Buddha-light, while Practitioner Su communicated with the spirit realm to pray for rain, urging the resentful and suffering spirits in the air and on the ground to let go of their hatred and rely on the power of the Holy Name.

During those days, Practitioner Su worked tirelessly to teach the spirits of animals, plants, and the earth to chant. Even while suffering from spiritual attachments that caused her skin to erupt in rashes, pain, and inflammation, she persisted. When the spirits finally emitted a faint chant of "Namo Amituofo," a few drops of rain fell. The spirits were astonished and joyful. Under the continuous encouragement of Practitioner Su and the illumination of the Buddha-light, they began to chant more clearly and loudly. Eventually, the drought was broken by heavy rain, lightning, and thunder. This helped the people and all earthly creatures, allowing the parched land to sprout green shoots once more. Practitioner Su’s own skin, under the healing light of Namo Amituofo, gradually recovered, and her hair began to grow back thicker than before. Through the mediation of Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su, the spirits of slaughtered animals—cows, pigs, chickens, geese, and fish—were able to let go of their resentment and accept Chao Du, finally finding peace.

Regarding the pandemic, which caused immense suffering and death worldwide, it was a result of humanity's waning goodness and increasing desires. The excessive slaughter of animals led to a backlash from the natural world, causing viruses to mutate beyond medical control. This also attracted resentful spirits and demon crowds from the spiritual realms, causing harm to the body, mind, and spirit of humanity. Such problems cannot be solved by human power alone. Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su, in their great compassion, urged the viruses, animal spirits, and the souls of those who perished to let go of their hatred and accept deliverance. They also subdued the demon crowds responsible for spreading the pandemic, providing these spirits with the opportunity to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss or in the human or heavenly realms, thereby alleviating the pandemic and bringing peace to the victims.

For many years, the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia has been quietly and continuously performing these tasks, conducting Chao Du to save the sentient beings who perished due to the pandemic.

The Current Situation and Our Response

Because people lack proper Buddhist education, spirits in the space around us—influenced by human thoughts and selfishness—often attach themselves to human bodies. These spiritual attachments are a primary cause of premature aging and illness. Such situations are far too common. Therefore, Namo Amituofo wishes for Buddhist education to be widely accessible. We hope that every person has the opportunity to learn and understand the Buddha’s teachings, to gain the Wisdom of the Dharma, to be free from spiritual attachments, and to enjoy a healthy body, heart, and spirit, leading to a beautiful life.

Namo Amituofo teaches us how to practise and achieve purification. We must understand that we only have the right to use things; we do not have the right to possess them. We may use anything, but we must not have attachment to it. Only by letting go of attachment can we avoid illness. We must strive to eliminate the —greed, anger, delusion, arrogance, and doubt—and we must cultivate a calm, indifferent attitude toward the Five Desires: wealth, lust, fame, food, and sleep, as well as our emotional cravings. The Pure Land Dharma of Namo Amituofo is a form of education, not merely a religion. It is designed to help the masses leave suffering behind and find happiness, and to rescue spirits so they may be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. The Western Pure Land is a reliable, pure, and virtuous spiritual destination provided by Namo Amituofo; it is a precious land for practice.

The Universal Connection

Namo Amituofo wishes to tell the people of Australia that all things—including spirits, animals such as cows, sheep, horses, chickens, ducks, geese, and fish, as well as insects, plants like roses, the earth itself, and even the floating clouds—can be communicated with. In truth, humans can live without aging or illness, and there is no need for medication. You only need to change your personality traits, view everything with a positive and kind heart, and resolve the conflicts with the spirits attached to your body. Any illness can be healed. The public must understand that doing good brings good , while doing evil brings evil consequences.

People become drowsy, age, and fall ill because they do not understand that true practice allows one to rediscover their original nature. The Buddha’s teachings are a form of education. They originated in India and were spread to China because the Chinese people possessed deep roots of virtue; the causal conditions were different. However, regardless of who you are, you can change your personality to save yourself, and you can learn the Buddha’s teachings to become an awakened being. If you can perceive the suffering of others as your own and truly help them, you will be able to find your original face from before your parents were born—a state of zero pollution, pure and virtuous. In this state, everything your eyes see is good, and there is not a single selfish thought in your heart.

As long as you come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre—whether to stay for a retreat or to receive Body-Mind-Spirit purification and healing—if you can listen to the sutras and truly follow the teachings by changing your personality, you will feel a difference within just three months. You will attain a sense of coolness, ease, and liberation.

A Call to Awaken

Namo Amituofo urges the people of Australia not to live in an illusory life. Do not pay the price for this false body; it is not worth it. As long as this body is subject to spiritual attachment, one will continue to experience aging, sickness, and death. If the public accepts Buddhist education, changes their personality, and recognizes their true self, they can elevate their spirituality. You will not grow old, not get sick, and your spirit will not die.

The people of Australia should be grateful for their great blessings. Namo Amituofo now truly abides at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. We welcome all Australians to come and see the Buddha. As long as you can purify your body, heart, and spirit, you will be able to converse with the Buddha. If just one person believes, and then shares this with ten, and those ten with a hundred, we can save many Australians. Even when life reaches its end, the spirit does not die, and one can enter the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
