This is a record of an interview with the Bodhisattvas of the Pure Ocean of Virtue, who witnessed Practitioner Su’s efforts to restore global connection during the 2020 pandemic. They now reside in the of Ultimate Bliss. Recorded by the disciple Shi Faxin on October 24, 2020.
The Bodhisattvas of the Pure Ocean of Virtue speak:
". We are the Bodhisattvas of the Pure Ocean of Virtue. 'Sincerity is truly praised by heaven and earth.' When the entire magnetic field of the world was in a state of chaotic flux, there was a positive force, a pure power of Goodness, that began to drive a transformation of the entire field. This was a skilful transformation of the collective energy of the world.
The Power of Sincerity in a Time of Crisis
Practitioner Su, through his , led countless spirits and creatures to pray with one heart. He gathered the pure, boundless, and unified power of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss and focused it into a single intention. By leading as one, he brought together a vast multitude—from the highest Bodhisattvas and virtuous ancestral masters down to every suffering spirit—to pray with absolute sincerity that this great global catastrophe might be transformed. Think about it—the universe is like a massive, intricate gear system. When the heart of Practitioner Su, which is perfectly in sync with the Buddha, was activated, it set the entire mechanism in motion.
Those who felt the sincerity of Practitioner Su joined their voices in chanting the Buddha-name. They prayed with a single heart, hoping for the restoration of global travel and connection, so that the which had already been destined to overwhelm the world might be slowed, or even dissolved. Relying on the majestic, compassionate power of the Buddha-heart, the boundless Bodhisattvas of the Pure Ocean of Virtue became perfectly in sync with the heart of Practitioner Su. Looking down at the suffering beings in the human world, how could we not feel ? The bright light of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre illuminates the void; this heart, which seeks no personal gain, exists solely to save all beings from their suffering.
The Great Gear of the Universe
The vows of Practitioner Su are fulfilled in every way, and in every instance, because he possesses no selfish heart. Everything he does is for the sake of helping the beings of the universe and ensuring the transmission of the Buddha’s teachings. Practitioner Su takes upon himself the suffering of all beings. He knows the void, and he perceives that our Buddha, Namo Amituofo, now abides at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. He acts, he works, and he feels the compassionate power of the Buddha in every moment.
Mount Sumeru is before our eyes, and the void is within the human world. Peace and stillness are found in the space between and personal ego. In this journey through the world, Practitioner Su has utilised this body to its fullest potential. He saves those in difficulty and calls out to those who are ignorant. The application of the is so profound and so marvellous; the vows of Practitioner Su will surely be fulfilled.
A Call to the World
What is driven by the human world is not difficult, yet it is also hard. To be lost in this world, or to awaken within this world—it all happens in a split second. Among the many Bodhisattvas of the Pure Ocean of Virtue whom Practitioner Su has guided to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, all have come to participate in this great journey of untying the knots of karma. The entire universe responds to this truth and this genuine power; we are filled with gratitude and deep respect.
The Buddha’s teachings are the supreme, marvellous Dharma. Both the void and the human world can be saved. We, the boundless Bodhisattvas, hope that all beings will feel the compassionate heart of heaven and earth and participate together. One heart and one thought contain the power of ten thousand forces. When every single bead is strung together, the result is truly beyond compare."
