Tai Huaxin speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Tai Huaxin. It has been such a long time since I have had the opportunity to introduce myself so formally. I have truly arrived at the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, and let me tell you, this is a world completely devoid of afflictions, pain, and sickness! I never imagined that I would possess the to set foot upon this sacred land. My heart is filled with an indescribable, boundless .
While I was residing in the , I already knew that the final destination of this life would be the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. However, it took me some time to adjust my state of mind. Once I had properly settled my thoughts, I decided that for this life, I would have no more worries or attachments; there was only one path for me, and that was the path to the West.
A Firm Resolution
When the Venerable at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre asked me if I wished to be reborn in the Western Pure Land, I nodded with absolute certainty. I told them, 'I must be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.' It was a feeling of firm, unwavering happiness that I had not experienced for a very, very long time.
To be perfectly honest, the human world is not a good place to stay! I suffered for such a long time. Although my family registered me for this Chao Du not long after I passed away, I still could not escape the suffering of the hells. But I must admit, all of this suffering was of my own making—it was a case of cause and effect. I have no one else to blame but myself.
Gratitude and Deliverance
Today, I am filled only with gratitude and joy. There are no other emotions, no other sorrows. I am deeply grateful to Namo Amituofo and to Practitioner Su for their great in guiding me to your Buddha-land. This is a Buddha-land that you have gifted to all beings, and I am truly one of the lucky ones to have been saved.
I waited for so long, and I endured the suffering of the cycle of rebirth for so long. Now, looking back at my many lives, I see everything clearly for the first time. I realise that I missed the opportunity to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss time and time again. If I had not encountered the Buddha's teachings and had this opportunity for Chao Du, I would never have had this magnificent causal condition. I might still be suffering in the hells right now, enduring even more agony.
The Pain of the Human World
Reflecting on my later years, I did not spend them in comfort, but rather in the grip of sickness and pain. I lived in a state of constant fear and anxiety, which only caused my family more worry. I truly hope that no one else has to experience such painful days.
Life should be something we can master. If one can chant 'Namo Amituofo' from beginning to end, just like Practitioner Su—who, even in her eighties, can easily travel back and forth to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—that is a goal everyone can achieve. It is a target that every single person should set for themselves.
A Message to My Family
Today, I am so grateful to my family for arranging this Chao Du for me. It is truly a blessing that they found the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. I am especially grateful to my daughter-in-law. When I heard Practitioner Su call out my name, and then heard my daughter-in-law's name, I was so moved that I wept bitterly. I realised then that death is not an endless abyss, but rather a gateway to such magnificent causal conditions.
There are twelve others who were reborn in the Western Pure Land with me today, and I feel so happy for them and their families. Rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is the only truly perfect and complete destination! I hope my family understands that one's life must have the goal of seeking rebirth in the West. The painful journey I have walked has made me deeply feel the reality of birth, aging, sickness, and death—especially the agony of sickness and death.
The Wisdom of Letting Go
I also want to advise all my family members and those connected by karmic affinity: if you ever encounter a situation where a family member is critically ill, please, do not insist on emergency medical intervention. If one can leave the human world in peace and serenity, that is the best possible outcome.
I lay in a hospital bed for so many years. I should have left long ago, but I lingered on in a state of suffering, only to end up in the same place—the hells. If everyone could have known the Buddha earlier, and if you had let me leave this world sooner, ending the use of this useless body, it would have lightened your burden and saved me from the suffering of this physical shell. That would have been the best thing for everyone.
The Necessity of the
Above all, you must learn about the Buddha. Otherwise, the path after death is either the hells or being trapped in a dark, lonely space. This is where most people end up after they pass away; this is not a joke, and it is the reality for the vast majority. Very few people are able to be reborn as humans or ascend to the heavenly realms. Unless you possess a very kind and pure heart, one that is entirely dedicated to the benefit of all beings without a shred of selfishness, you may not have the chance to enter the higher realms.
The we have created throughout our many lives is truly heavy. I can see it clearly from here. Those of you still in the human world may still have your eyes covered. My family, you must know that you are also carrying karma. You must work hard to change your personalities. Chanting 'Namo Amituofo' is a tremendous help. I hope we can all encourage one another in this practice.
Namo Amituofo.
