Resolving Disasters: An Interview with Great Master Zhiyi

The Compassionate Heart of a Bodhisattva

Namo Amituofo truly abides at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. The compassion of Namo Amituofo permeates this sacred ground, and the wisdom of the Dharma realm is known to all. Practitioner Su, through his Dharma Body, reaches across the infinite expanse of the universe. Suffering beings are bathed in the sweet dew of the Dharma, and the Buddha-light before them clears away the dust and filth of countless lifetimes. The power of Chao Du performed by the Dharma Body is truly inconceivable, reaching back across millions of years to those who have yet to find their way home.

Every Buddha works to guide beings to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, opening dimensions that are beyond our ordinary comprehension. Wherever the salvation team arrives, they bring relief to those suffering from the global pandemic. They rescue those who can be saved, helping them leave suffering behind and find happiness. By turning the magnetic field of the world, they guide all things back to the right path.

I am Zhiyi. No matter how the external environment changes, my heart is occupied only by sentient beings. My sole purpose is to assist them in leaving suffering behind. I have walked across countless mountains and ridges, and my disciples have followed me, all in the search for a place of true refuge. I no longer have a self; this life is lived entirely for the sake of all beings. Sentient beings are infinite, yet this body is finite. My only concern is how to make the best use of this body so that beings may be permanently liberated from suffering. My heart is empty of all attachments, and within this state of following conditions, I am actively engaged in salvation. I cannot let even a single second pass in vain, for in every moment that is wasted, countless suffering spirits sink deeper into the ocean of karma. If there are those who can be saved but are not, my heart cannot bear it. As long as I am in this world, I will allow this body and this spirit to be utilised to the fullest extent.

The Bridge Between Worlds

This heart is one with the heart of the Buddha and the heart of Practitioner Su. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre serves as a vital bridge, connecting the spirits of the Dharma realm with the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. The patriarchs and venerable masters who appear in this world always live as if one day is two, and two days are three. When one uses time with an empty heart, one can save an endless number of beings. In the human world, there are ten thousand manifestations, and strange phenomena are among them. It is impossible to always be in harmony with the times or to have everything go according to one's wishes. One must possess great wisdom to transform these strange phenomena into the right track and to resolve conflicting hearts into harmonious ones. By relying on this Awakening and following the heart, and by applying the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, one can resolve disasters and epidemics. This has been the conduct of all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and patriarchs from ancient times to the present, and today, it is witnessed at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia.

Practitioner Su integrates every thought into the heart of the Buddha, and every step he takes is a Buddha-action, manifesting a perfect alignment with the Buddha-vows. At this time, the human world is beset by disasters, and a pandemic is sweeping across the globe. Practitioner Su feels deep compassion for the helpless beings who have nowhere to turn and whose hearts are filled with anxiety. At such a time, only the Great Physician, Namo Amituofo, can resolve this pandemic. Through his lectures, Practitioner Su conveys this message: if those who have karmic affinity can believe and come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, they will receive the Buddha's blessing. This will address the root cause of the illness, allowing the condition to subside or be resolved entirely. Even the deceased have the opportunity to receive Chao Du, leave suffering behind, and be reborn in the Western Pure Land. These benefits are available to those who have the affinity to believe.

A Path Through the Crisis

Currently, the pandemic has not yet been eradicated, and the collective karma of the world continues to manifest. People and nations remain in a state of caution and isolation, with transportation blocked and communication severed. At such a time, one can only passively wait for the crisis to end. However, if one can find the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, one is actively breaking through the current situation. Receiving the Buddha's healing is a way to open a path of survival for both the nation and oneself. This is a period of national crisis, and when the leadership of a nation is without a strategy, it is the moment for them to manifest great wisdom. They must find a path of healing for the people and simultaneously resolve the great matter of life and death. Namo Amituofo can accomplish this, provided that sentient beings have the affinity to encounter this path and the ability to believe.

The human body is precious, yet because of human attachment, people do not know suffering and are difficult to save. Even so, the human body remains precious because the Buddha's teachings can only be transmitted through the human realm; other realms cannot replace it. This is the value of the human realm, and the desire to transform the current situation can only be achieved through the human realm.

Transcending Time and Space

Practitioner Su, with his far-reaching vision, leads the salvation team using his Dharma Body to open layer upon layer of space, performing Chao Du for the spirits residing within those dimensions. When I was in the human realm during the Chen Dynasty of the Southern Dynasties and the Sui Dynasty, over one thousand four hundred years ago, the space of that time still exists today. There are still disciples walking the path, performing prostrations, walking in meditation, or even clearing wasteland to plant crops. There are even scenes of the Dharma being taught. When I entered that space, the beings there saw me and joined their palms together, just as they did when I was with my disciples. At that time, I had a body; now, I am without one.

After I entered, I brought with me the Buddha-light and the six-character name of the Buddha, which the fourfold community of disciples in the Dharma assembly were chanting. The Buddha-name traversed time and space, entering that ancient era. I saw the disciples and believers bathed in the Buddha-light, hearing the Buddha-name as if waking from a great dream, which illuminated and awakened the spirits. I hurried to lead everyone in chanting the Buddha-name, and within the Buddha-name, we departed from that space. Afterwards, I immediately joined Practitioner Su's Chao Du team. We then travelled to the mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and Malaysia, before entering Australia, where we were able to help many spirits receive Chao Du and enter the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

During this process, we performed Chao Du for many spirits who had died due to the pandemic, purifying the spaces that were filled with resentment and helplessness. The salvation team led by the Dharma Body of Practitioner Su has swept across ten thousand miles. If not for the combined manifestation of Practitioner Su's vows and power, this would be difficult to achieve. The appearance of the pandemic is a manifestation of the human heart deviating from the right path. Now, by purifying the space through Chao Du, we are forcefully turning the deviant paths and negative magnetic fields back to the right path and positive magnetic fields.

Practitioner Su has appeared in this world to transform countless demon crowds, turning them from deviant to upright, so that they may become members of the salvation team and assist in performing Chao Du for the spirits of those who have passed away due to the pandemic. He propagates the True Teachings, and all his actions are in accordance with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. He walks firmly, step by step, and truly does what is right; this is the Buddha-action. Because Namo Amituofo truly abides at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, and because Practitioner Su leads the fourfold community of disciples and the salvation team in diligent practice without rest, I and many patriarchs and venerable masters from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss have also participated in this work. To be able to resolve the various sufferings and difficult situations of beings is truly a great fortune for all beings on Earth and in the Dharma realm. I am deeply grateful for the compassion of the Buddha.
