The Weight of Unceasing Thoughts

The disciple asked: Regarding the spirits residing within the head of Practitioner Guo, may the Buddha please provide compassionate teachings.

Namo Amituofo provided the following guidance:

Your mind is constantly entangled by thoughts of the past. You always strive to overthink every detail, hoping to make everything perfect. My child, you must learn to reorder your heart and mind. You must realise that everything you perceive in this world is an illusion. You should follow the Buddha's way and flow with conditions as they arise. Whether you encounter good conditions or bad conditions, do not let them weigh upon your heart. Practise truly and act sincerely; do not let your mind wander into unnecessary thoughts. There is only one path, and that is to have absolute faith in Namo Amituofo. Dedicate your body and mind to the service of all beings across the universe. Only then can you clear your mind and transform your .

The Prison of the Mind

Your thoughts pull you back into the events of the past, creating a dense space from which it is difficult to escape. You must let go of everything you have learned in this life. Start anew, fresh and clean. In this way, your appearance and your state of being will transform. A dignified appearance is for the purpose of saving beings. Every child has their own mission to fulfil. You must take up your responsibility and follow the Buddha's path. Let go, release your attachments, and your true nature will shine even brighter.

A Testimony from the Attached Spirits

We are the beings who have been blocked inside his head, and I am one of them. I was drawn to him when he was fifteen years old, attracted by the nature of his thoughts. As the years passed, with every passing minute and second, more of us gathered there. We became increasingly crowded, and his thoughts became more and more stubborn. Eventually, these thoughts blocked and compressed us, forming a fixed shape that became like a hard, immovable stone. This made it truly difficult for us to breathe. If it were not for the fact that he came to the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, where Practitioner Su kept urging him to stop thinking, the speed of his thoughts would not have slowed down.

The Light of Liberation

There were many spirits above me. Some were shaken out when he performed prostrations to the Buddha, while others were willing to leave when he was busy with his work. I kept waiting, wondering when it would be my turn. I never expected that today, his body would suddenly shine with brilliant light. There was a constant radiance guiding us. I shouted, "Hurry, hurry!" Finally, it was my turn. I emerged, and in an instant, I breathed in the fresh air and stretched my limbs. At last, we have seen the light. We thank Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su for their help. His head has also been cleared of many spirits due to the guidance of the Buddha-light. We urge him not to return to his old ways of thinking, so that he does not waste the compassionate intentions of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. Only by letting go can he truly wake up and become the master of his own life.
