This interview was recorded on September 27, 2020, featuring the South Sea Dragon King, Gu Nantian. Seeking the spiritual intervention of Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia, the Dragon King addresses the critical drought conditions affecting the region and the karmic causes behind them.

The South Sea Dragon King speaks:

"Urgent! Urgent! Urgent! The fact that Practitioner Su has personally arrived shows just how desperate the situation for rain has become. I am Gu Nantian, the Dragon King of the South Sea. Because Practitioner Su is present—and because only Practitioner Su possesses the capability to perform for the entire planet—and since his current location in Australia is the closest to the South Sea, Australia's drought is the first priority that demands our concern.

Australia has historically been a land defined by its arid climate, where water shortages are common. Yet, when Practitioner Su previously prayed for rain, he successfully alleviated the last major drought. We Dragon Kings are well aware that the karmic burden of killing in Australia is far too heavy. The country raises cattle, horses, and sheep, and it supplies an excessive amount of beef to other nations. Consider the sheer volume of water required just for these cattle ranches; the pastures demand water, and the trees—which are the most frequently felled resources by the Australian people—also require water. Everywhere you look, there is a desperate need for water."

The Karmic Cost of Resource Depletion

"Australia was once a land of abundant resources, but due to these human-made karmic forces, the natural water supply has gradually diminished. Fortunately, Practitioner Su engages in acts of Goodness, chants Namo Amituofo, and performs -Body Visualisation Deliverance. He constantly counsels others to give rise to all and achieve the fruit of . Every single morning, he leads the residents of Goombungee and Toowoomba in kneeling to pray for rain, chanting Namo Amituofo, and performing Chao Du.

I, the South Sea Dragon King, am currently mobilising my shrimp soldiers and crab generals. I have also respectfully invited the heavenly soldiers and generals of the Jade Emperor to come and provide protection for this mission. In the coming days, we will summon the countless spirits and aquatic creatures residing within the waters under the jurisdiction of the South Sea. We are gathering water molecules, and we have requested the Rain God, the Thunder God, and the dark clouds of the sky to stand by and prepare. Everything is ready. Now, I am simply waiting for the Dragon Kings of the East, West, and North Seas to converge with me. Once the Jade Emperor issues the command, the rain will fall."

A Compassionate Plea for the World

"Practitioner Su’s is always directed toward the suffering of all living beings. I humbly beseech Namo Amituofo for his blessing.

To ensure the success of the rain-making process, I have followed Practitioner Su in performing Dharma-Body Visualisation Deliverance. The immeasurable number of aquatic creatures and shellfish under the jurisdiction of the South Sea have all participated in the . Memorial tablets have been written for their deliverance, and they have been guided into the at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.

Namo Amituofo."
