This interview was recorded on December 22, 2020, at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. It documents a significant spiritual dialogue between Practitioner Su, the Jade Emperor, and the Four Dragon Kings regarding the urgent need for rain to support the development of the temple and the welfare of the local community.

Practitioner Su speaks:

"I am reporting to the Jade Emperor. I, Practitioner Su, have made a formal request: please concentrate the dark clouds directly above the four hundred acres of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Let the rain fall exclusively within these four hundred acres. This is to ensure that the people of Australia take notice that only this temple can successfully pray for and receive rain. This is essential to help everyone secure their residency rights; otherwise, even though Namo Amituofo is present here, the temple remains unable to develop or proceed with construction. I ask the Jade Emperor and the Four Dragon Kings to respond to this request. Namo Amituofo."

The Jade Emperor’s Decree

The Jade Emperor speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. The heart of Practitioner Su, filled with and love for all sentient beings, is known to me and to all beings in the Realm. The price that Practitioner Su’s physical body has paid in order to pray for this rain is something that fills us all with deep admiration! Therefore, the method Practitioner Su has proposed at this time is entirely reasonable and justified. I shall notify the God of Lightning, the God of Thunder, the God of Wind, and the God of Rain to coordinate with this matter, and it shall be carried out exactly as requested. Please, Practitioner Su, set your heart at ease.

"Should there be a need to lift this command, please inform me, and I shall revoke the order accordingly to accommodate your wishes. Namo Amituofo."

The Response of the Four Dragon Kings

The Four Dragon Kings speak:

"Everyone has requested that I, the Dragon King of the East Sea, act as the representative to respond to Practitioner Su.

"I am the Dragon King of the East Sea. In truth, we were already aware of Practitioner Su’s intentions some time ago. The ability to bring forth rain is a result of the sincere chanting of Namo Amituofo by Practitioner Su and the salvation team; therefore, you naturally have the authority to express the desired scope for the rainfall. Practitioner Su is truly compassionate. From the very beginning of the chanting and the prayers for rain until now, we have all witnessed the suffering and the spiritual disturbances from sentient beings that your body has endured. We are deeply moved and filled with admiration! Furthermore, because the prayers for rain have already been successful, a significant amount of rain has already fallen in the local area of Goombungee, Toowoomba, and even in regions further afield. Any rain that falls hereafter is also a result of the salvation team’s devout chanting and prayers; it is not something obtained without effort. Moreover, this action is taken specifically for the future development of the temple in its mission to save and deliver sentient beings. Therefore, we shall certainly cooperate and act accordingly. Namo Amituofo."
