The Compassionate Mission of Practitioner Su: An Interview with Sangharama Bodhisattva
Insights into the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way
Recorded on the 9th of December, 2020
The Radiance of
Upon witnessing the brilliant Buddha-light of Practitioner Su, Sangharama expressed deep admiration. The compassion of Practitioner Su is boundless; he dedicates his physical body entirely to the work of for all sentient beings, sacrificing his own comfort to bear the suffering of others. Whether it is the recent act of praying for rain or the daily morning sessions of -Body Visualisation Deliverance, every action is driven by a singular, profound purpose: to help all beings leave suffering behind and find true liberation.
The primary goal of this mission is to guide all beings to chant Namo Amituofo and seek rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss. This is the only way to truly resolve the suffering of sentient beings across the vast expanse of existence, including beings within the six realms of existence, celestial beings residing in the twenty-eight heavens, those within the Four Sacred Realms, the myriad and ever-changing demon crowds, the physical world including mountains, rivers, and the earth, all flora and fauna, and the countless beings that crawl, fly, or swim.
The Purification of the Fifty Trillion Cells
To restore the fifty trillion cells of Practitioner Su to their original, pristine state, Sangharama Bodhisattva remains ever vigilant. Alongside the Bodhisattvas of the universe, the Bodhisattvas of the Milky Way, and the new Buddha-disciples, there is a unified commitment to cleanse these cells completely. The objective is to ensure that no lingering spirits remain, as their presence within these cells creates unnecessary interference.
Every minute detail is attended to, including the smallest insects and microscopic organisms. By removing these influences, the path is cleared for the work of salvation to proceed without hindrance. Once the fifty trillion cells are fully purified, Practitioner Su can expand his work of Chao Du with even greater efficacy. Because his wisdom is as vast as the ocean, each session of Chao Du brings forth new transformations. It is the solemn duty of Sangharama and the assembly of Bodhisattvas to protect the physical form of Practitioner Su, ensuring that no external spirits can disrupt his state of purity. When these cells are cleansed and purified repeatedly, they manifest the highest power of compassion, sensitivity, and energy during the process of Dharma-Body Visualisation Deliverance.
The Universal Truth of Protecting the Dharma
Everything that Sangharama Bodhisattva witnesses is a reflection of the daily life and work of Practitioner Su. To Practitioner Su, the attainment of a diamond-like, indestructible body is solely for the purpose of saving the world. To Sangharama, this represents the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. It is the sacred duty of all Dharma protectors to support the True Teachings and those who practise them sincerely, ensuring that the Dharma remains in this world for a long time. Sangharama considers it an honour to stand guard over Practitioner Su, who is truly a treasure of the universe, a national treasure, and a living Buddha Jewel.
The actions of Practitioner Su are unparalleled in the cosmos. He seeks no fame or material gain, harbours no selfishness, and views every being as a Buddha. He does not allow his physical body to be a source of suffering, choosing instead to sacrifice himself to rescue others. Practitioner Su is a being of the Western Pure Land, working tirelessly to save the world. One might ask: why do celestial beings scatter flowers in reverence wherever he goes? Why do the trees, flowers, and ghost deities bow to him? Why do the animals he passes stop to pay their respects? This is all due to the power of his compassion and the Buddha-light that radiates from his entire being. All those who have been saved by him, those who have walked in his presence, and even those who have merely heard the sound of him chanting the name of Namo Amituofo, have formed a karmic connection with him—a connection they deeply cherish.
The Lion’s Roar and the Path of Repentance
The Buddha teaches the Dharma with a single voice, yet each being understands according to their own capacity. When Practitioner Su delivers his Dharma talks, the space is filled with beings from the ten directions. If the fourfold assembly of disciples feels drowsy during these talks, it is often because their and other connected beings are also present, eager to hear the teachings. These beings have never heard such profound wisdom before. The content of the teachings, delivered by one who has realised his true nature, strikes directly at the habits and personality traits of the disciples.
Practitioner Su explains that personality traits, attachments, and selfishness are the primary obstacles to and rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. When he observes the fourfold assembly becoming drowsy, he recognises the interference of karmic creditors. He then releases the Lion’s Roar, hoping to awaken the disciples so they may listen attentively, for every word and sentence is a golden gem of wisdom. Even the Kings of the Ten Hells have brought beings from the hells to see if their suffering can be resolved. However, if the disciples lack sufficient energy, remain selfish, or are unwilling to change, the karmic creditors become agitated and interfere with the listening process.
A Call to Transformation
Sangharama Bodhisattva earnestly advises the fourfold assembly at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia to repent sincerely, to be humble and modest, and to genuinely strive to change their habits and adjust their character. Under the guidance of Practitioner Su, one must cultivate a heart of pure goodness, ensuring that every thought and intention is directed toward saving others. One gains benefits in proportion to one's sincerity; with absolute sincerity, one receives absolute benefit. By combining sincerity toward the Buddha with sincere repentance toward all beings, there is no conflict that cannot be resolved.
The eighty-four thousand Dharma gates are all designed to lead one to become a Buddha and realise one's true nature, but this can only be achieved by truly changing one's personality. To achieve Buddhahood, one must possess a compassionate heart that can save both oneself and others. When one achieves success in Buddhist practice, the first person one saves is oneself. It is essential to listen carefully, to change, and to seize this opportunity. If one does not know how to be grateful—grateful to the Buddha and grateful to Practitioner Su—then one will not achieve success in practice. It is only through the compassion of the Buddha and the compassion of Practitioner Su that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre exists. The future establishment of the headquarters of the Pure Land school is dedicated to saving beings, passing on the Buddha’s teachings, and promoting the Pure Land Dharma Gate, so that all people may understand that the only way home is to chant Namo Amituofo and seek rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
