The Compassionate Teachings of Namo Amituofo
A Discourse Recorded by Venerable HaiZe at Hsiang Kuang
October 22, 2023
The Stillness of the Buddha
Namo Amituofo truly abides at Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. Within this sacred Realm, while the human world remains in constant flux and turmoil, Namo Amituofo remains "unmoved", yet perfectly clear and aware of all things. This is the state of the Buddha—a profound stillness that encompasses the entire universe.
Thus have I heard at Hsiang Kuang: the Dharma-sound of Namo Amituofo is being proclaimed far and wide. All beings within the Dharma Realm can hear this call. While the Dharma affinity in the human world awaits further propagation, we must remember that the spirit never dies. It is a fundamental truth that the spirit continues its journey beyond this life, and it is possible for all spirits to find their way to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
The Root of Suffering and the Path to Deliverance
Why do we suffer from the inevitable decline of old age and the pain of sickness? These are manifestations of the laws of and cause and effect, often brought about by the presence of . We hope that all beings—including those who have attached themselves to others, and even the demon crowds—who have suffered through endless cycles of karmic debt, can be saved.
Through the compassionate efforts of Practitioner Su, whose works tirelessly to save beings, and with the support of the twelve rays of Buddha-light from Namo Amituofo, these beings can finally be released from the suffering and torment of their current space. They can be delivered to a better place.
The Power of the Buddha-Name
Please, I urge you to chant the Buddha-name of Namo Amituofo. This is the most direct way to find liberation. When you chant, you should engage your entire being:
- Mental note: Let the name resonate deeply within your heart and mind.
- Vocal recitation: Allow the sound to pass through your lips clearly and sincerely.
- Listening: Hear the sound of the Buddha-name with your own ears, allowing it to permeate your .
Saving the Infinite Beings
Thus have I heard another truth: the land of Hsiang Kuang is vast and boundless. Across the Earth, the galaxy, and the heavens beyond the heavens, there are countless spirits and entities. Many are lost in the darkness of ignorance. Fortunately, through the Dharma Body of Practitioner Su and the twelve rays of Buddha-light from Namo Amituofo, immeasurable and boundless beings are being saved and guided toward the Western Pure Land or the heavenly realms.
Even the demon crowds are included in this salvation. Through the twelve rays of Buddha-light, which act as a force of transformation, these beings are brought into the light. They are sent to the Western Land of Dharma Nature. Not a single being is abandoned; their hearts are transformed from demonic intent to Goodness, and they begin to follow the path of the Buddha.
A Call to the Youth and the True Self
This is the manifestation of the compassionate heart of Practitioner Su. There is a deep hope to save the children and the youth of this world, so that they do not fall under the control of demonic influences and lose their ability to make their own choices. Every person possesses an original, true self, yet it is often obscured by self-imposed traps and demonic obstacles. Because of this, the true self remains hidden, and many people spend their lives looking for a way to be saved.
It is my sincere wish that all those connected by karmic affinity to Hsiang Kuang can hear the Dharma-sound of Namo Amituofo. May your Body-Mind-Spirit be illuminated by the Buddha-light. By chanting the Buddha-name continuously—with your heart, your voice, and your ears—you will surely enter the Dharma-Nature Land and reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
