This is a record of an interview with Duo O, the uncle of Lay Practitioner Bian O, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his transition from the to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Duo O speaks:
". I am Duo O. Today, in the blink of an eye, I have arrived at the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—a place I have heard so much about. I came here from the Western -Nature Land, much like travelling from one Buddha-land to another. But this time, it is the true Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. It is an eternal world, a world that Namo Amituofo spent five kalpas to establish. It is truly magnificent! I have such tremendous !
My nephew, Bian O, is such a good child. He arranged for my , allowing me to be with the Buddha. My heart is filled with . This is also a great blessing for Bian O, that he could come to know the Buddha. To think that even in a place as far away as Australia, in the human world, he could encounter the Buddha—it is truly extraordinary!"
A Debt of Gratitude
"I want to express my deepest gratitude once again to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. I know that if I had missed this opportunity, it would have been nearly impossible to encounter it again in future lifetimes. I am sincerely grateful! Truly, I am so grateful! If the Buddha requires me to do anything, I am more than willing to serve. It is only because of Bian O’s sincerity and his faith in the Buddha that it became possible for me, Duo O, to attain rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss today.
You must introduce the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia to our people in Tibet! This is different from the Buddha’s teachings as we have known them. Here, there is a Buddha—a real, living Buddha—with whom one can converse. Just as the Bhikkhuni who is interviewing me now can speak directly with the Buddha, she can also speak with me. It is truly remarkable."
The Suffering of Samsara
"So, my dear child Bian O, you are truly a person of tremendous blessings! Because you have come to know Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, you have the capacity to help so many people. The suffering of people in the cycle of rebirth is truly unbearable. From my vantage point here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I can see it clearly. You may be a good person, but if you do not understand the Buddha’s teachings, you will never be able to escape the cycle of birth and death. You would have no idea where you might end up in the next life.
I was the same. The world after death is so helpless and dark. When you are a spirit alone, you have no connection to anyone. If you wait until then to feel regret, it is truly a case of 'calling to the heavens with no response, and calling to the earth with no reply.' Therefore, being able to chant Namo Amituofo while you are still in good health, and truly being with the Buddha—that is the most wonderful thing one could ever hope for!"
A Call to Witness the Living Buddha
"In the past, I did not grasp the essence of the Buddha’s teachings. What I had learned and understood was quite different from what Namo Amituofo teaches, so I never had much interest in the Dharma. But at this very moment, looking at the high-tech capabilities of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, and seeing the countless manifestations of the Buddha, I truly could not have imagined that such a living Buddha could exist in the human world!
Bian O, since you are wholeheartedly devoted to the Buddha, you must make a trip to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre! You must come to the Buddha-land to witness for yourself that Namo Amituofo is truly present at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. Only then can you better utilise your own potential, and then spread the word about this. The people of Tibet will be so blessed! You must believe in yourself and do this work well. Your life has not been lived in vain! Namo Amituofo."
