The Demon's Lament: A Desire to Return
An Interview with the Great Delusion Demon
Recorded by Shi Faxin on August 4, 2021
This is a record of an interview with the Great Delusion Demon, also known as the Demon of Delusional Hatred, who previously possessed Practitioner Su and sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. The demon now resides within the protective field of the centre. This account was recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on August 4, 2021.
The Great Delusion Demon speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. We find our greatest pleasure in seizing upon the weaknesses of human beings. We love it when they 'think'—when they dwell on things, overthink, and become deeply trapped in their own attachments. The more they think, the more dull and vacant their eyes become; that is exactly when they fall under our control. We use their bodies to indulge in our own emotions, to eat, and to experience the pleasures of the human world. The human world is full of fun and delicious things, and we love to chase after excitement. Once a human body becomes vacant and dull, we take it over and use it to our heart's content."
The Cycle of Possession
"We are constantly searching for new targets to control. Once we have finished with one person and it is no longer fun—or perhaps when their family members start nagging them too much—we simply stop meddling in that mess and move on to find our next victim. We have already controlled over fifty thousand people. But after a while, even controlling those people became boring to us.
Recently, with The Pandemic: A Message from Namo Amituofo spreading, we decided to change our routine. Who would have expected it to be so much fun? Passing the virus from one person to another, again and again. I have close ties with many other demon crowds, so I led them forward, encouraging them to try their hand at it. I let them unleash their full potential, and it was a delight to see them so happy."
Building a Demon Empire
"We also continuously draw in sentient beings from the surrounding space whose mental notes are in sync with ours, turning them into our 'demon children and grandchildren.' Because of this, our team has grown larger and more powerful. When my demon children and grandchildren grow in number, I feel immense . When they call me 'Demon Boss,' I hold my head high, filled with pride. I was even preparing to spread the pandemic on a massive scale and train my demon children and grandchildren to become an even more formidable team.
Just as I had made up my mind to do this, I heard someone in the space declaring that they were going to resolve the conflict regarding the pandemic. The voice was so incredibly firm and resolute that I felt compelled to come and see for myself. I led a group of my demon children and grandchildren here; but to my shock, once I entered, I could not go back. I was trapped. While I have been stuck here, I have been constantly thinking: What will happen to my proud team? I still crave the prestige and power I once had. Why am I here? I cannot get out. What kind of powerful place is this? Let me out!"
Namo Amituofo.
