The Dharma Affinity of Yilan
An Interview with Venerable Changren
Recorded on July 1, 2019
Venerable Changren, a dedicated practitioner, shares insights regarding the profound spiritual deliverance work conducted in Yilan, Taiwan. This interview was recorded on July 1, 2019, by the chief writer, Shi Faxi, to document the ongoing efforts to guide sentient beings toward the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
Venerable Changren speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. The process of spiritual deliverance across dimensions is constantly unfolding, synchronised perfectly with the sound of the Buddha-name. This is especially true when Practitioner Su is performing large-scale spiritual deliverance. The transformation of space during these moments is incredibly rapid. The shifting of time and space is instantaneous; Practitioner Su is so swift in her visualisation to deliver sentient beings. Over these past few days, she has been tirelessly guiding the spirits residing upon the land of Taiwan. Immeasurable and boundless numbers of beings have emerged, and many local residents have followed the Buddha-light, moving toward the light along with the sound of the Buddha-name. Through this deliverance, so many beings have been saved, and they are all filled with as they journey toward that radiant place."
The Urgency of the Unseen
"The spiritual deliverance of beings across dimensions is, in many ways, more profound than delivering people in the human world. While people in the world cry out in suffering, they have not yet truly realised the depth of that suffering. The beings in the void, however, have already experienced the cycle of life and death. Having lost their physical bodies, they understand the value of this opportunity far better than those in the human realm. They grasp this chance tightly, actively seeking a way to escape. During yesterday's assembly, so many of them finally attained liberation."
The Illusion of Life in Yilan
"Yilan is a simple and pure place, a land of outstanding people. Many households there are quite devout in their faith. However, there is still far too much attachment in their practice. People do not truly understand how to be actively awake; instead, they are only actively existing within the routines of daily life. After they pass away, they drift into various non-human realms. They do not understand the truth of existence, remaining trapped within the illusory dreams of life and death, cycling through samsara in such great hardship."
A Call to Awaken
"Now, at last, the Buddha has come here to lead beings to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Everyone really ought to seize this magnificent opportunity. You must view the liberation from life and death as the most important matter of your existence. This requires education, because so many modern people no longer understand the fundamental truths, and even less do they understand how to perceive the suffering of their own life and death. It is truly a great pity."
The Path of True Practice
"I have observed that many people are deeply attached to their own subjective opinions. Such a mindset makes true practice extremely difficult. Now, we can only wait for those who have the karmic affinity—those who are truly willing to accept the education of Goodness and adjust their character. Those who practise the Great Dharma possess immeasurable . I sincerely hope that those who have the affinity to hear these words will cherish them and practise diligently. You must empty your heart and mind to attain achievement within these Causal Conditions."
"I am deeply grateful for the of the Buddha and the compassion of Practitioner Su. Namo Amituofo."
