The Fleeting Journey of Life

When a child first arrives in this world, they announce their presence with a loud, piercing cry. By the second year, they are crawling with determination, their voices beginning to form the first tentative sounds of language. By the third year, they stand tall, taking their first steps to survey this vast, new world. As they reach five, they begin to speak in sentences and forge their first friendships at school. From six to ten, every step they take leaves a mark, and they gradually grow into their own person. By eighteen, they stand with the grace of youth, and by twenty, they possess the confidence of adulthood. They meet, they fall in love, and they pledge their lives to one another in marriage. Soon, they are expecting their first child, with mothers hoping for their child’s steady growth and fathers dreaming of their child’s future success. Years of raising children pass in a blur, and before one knows it, half a century has slipped away. The children grow independent and build their own homes, leaving the parents to guard an empty nest. By sixty, the of grandchildren arrives, and these little ones become the treasures of their hearts. By seventy, one begins to return to the innocence of childhood, yet gradually weakens, and illness begins to take hold. The coffin is prepared, waiting for the final moment when the legs stretch out for the last time. We depart from this world alone, not knowing where we are destined to go.

The Weight of Our Karmic Path

Where we go depends entirely on the weight of the sins we have committed and the we have accumulated. This is the place where we will be reincarnated. We are bound by the laws of karma and the theory of destiny; this is an absolute truth that does not err. When that final moment arrives, regret is often overwhelming, but it is far too late to turn back. Decades of life have passed, but how can we determine whether our time was spent meaningfully or in vain? We must ask ourselves if we have truly lived.

  • Those who live with purpose follow the Buddha’s teachings and engage in practice.
  • Those who live without purpose remain lost in the dust of the world.
  • Those who live with purpose work to save all beings.
  • Those who live without purpose let their lives pass by in emptiness.
  • Those who live with purpose dedicate themselves to spiritual cultivation.
  • Those who live without purpose waste their precious time.
  • Those who live with purpose seek rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss.
  • Those who live without purpose continue to wander in the cycle of rebirth.

A Sanctuary for Transformation

Is it not time to become one who lives with purpose, ensuring that this life has not been lived in vain? Even now, there remains a vital opportunity to reshuffle the cards of your life. At the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, Namo Amituofo truly abides. The Buddha’s and mercy are here to save the world. If you wish to transform your karma, the Buddha’s vows are here to teach and guide all beings. If you are willing, come to the temple. Within this sanctuary, priceless treasures are hidden, waiting for you to take them with your own hands and carry them back to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Waking from the Illusion

Following the script of life as it is currently written leads only to this cycle. This entire existence is merely a dream realm. Within this dream, there is a heaven and an earth, and there are ten thousand things. You are the protagonist of this dream, experiencing both favourable and adverse conditions, yet all of it is merely a fleeting illusion that vanishes in an instant. When you first wake from this dream, are you truly clear-headed, or do you still feel a lingering attachment to the illusion? If you are the one who has awakened, I congratulate you. You still have the opportunity to change the landscape of your dream. Everything that is illusory within this dream can be transformed. Let your be a return to the beautiful Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, rather than a descent into the suffering of the hells. Invite the Buddha into your dream. Let the Buddha be present within your vision, guiding you to wake up from this dream and return to His true world.
