The Paradox of Oneness
To truly perceive that all beings are one with me—to hold this profound view of oneness—is a rare and precious state of mind. It is not easy to encounter such a perspective in this world. Those who possess this view are truly extraordinary. Yet, they remain one among the many, appearing as ordinary individuals in their daily lives. This is what it means to be extraordinary within the ordinary. Those who realise their true nature and attain Buddhahood have transitioned from the mundane into the extraordinary.
The Wisdom of Practitioner Su
Practitioner Su appears to be an ordinary, kind-hearted elder. However, after spending time with him, one soon realises that his wisdom and his ability to respond to complex situations are far beyond those of an ordinary person. He always considers the needs of others before his own. He never seeks to take advantage of anyone; in fact, he is often willing to suffer a loss himself so that others may benefit. He acts for the sake of all beings, completely selfless and without ego. Because of this, he naturally earns the respect and reverence of those around him.
The Path of Compassionate Service
This is how one wins over the hearts of the masses through virtue. This is his extraordinary quality, and it is a fundamental requirement for anyone dedicated to saving the world and rescuing countless suffering beings. Those who have realised their true nature have opened their spiritual eyes. They see the suffering of all beings clearly. Filled with , they use their to perform for countless suffering beings. This is a rare and precious affinity that is truly difficult to encounter in this lifetime. Namo Amituofo.
