The Heart-Language of the Buddha
Amitabha Buddha's Discourse Recorded by Venerable HaiZe
December 17, 2022
The Infinite of the Buddha
The Buddha has no mind of his own in the worldly sense; he is empty of ego and attachment. The messages and heart-language that flow forth, transformed into written words, are not arbitrary. Every single word and phrase is spoken in direct response to the hearts and minds of sentient beings.
These words possess the power to resolve the specific situations and emotional knots that bind you in the present moment. If you, as a sentient being, can truly listen, accept these teachings into your heart, and put them into practice, you will find transformation. By adjusting your body and mind, protecting your spirit, changing your personality traits, and engaging in diligent practice, you will surely reap great benefits.
The Path to Clarity and Truth
Everything that the Buddha possesses is offered to sentient beings. The Buddha does not need anything for himself; all that he manifests exists solely for the sake of all beings. It is the Buddha-vow that you may understand the nature of all suffering and learn to live according to the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, without violating the laws of and cause and effect.
The Buddha originally has no words, yet he speaks because of the needs of sentient beings. These words flow from the true self, following conditions, timing, and the unique circumstances of each individual. The Buddha's words are infinite and are never constrained by the limitations of the world. They are designed to untangle the difficulties that trap sentient beings, guiding your thoughts toward the righteous path, encouraging only Goodness and purity, while leaving behind all evil and impurity.
Purification at Hsiang Kuang: A Sacred Sanctuary
At Hsiang Kuang: A Sacred Sanctuary, if you wish to receive the full benefit of the Buddha's words, you must purify yourself again and again. You must cultivate more Goodness and ensure that you do not allow yourself to become clouded by worldly dust. You must have faith in the Buddha and rely upon his words in your daily life; only then can you truly obtain the benefits of these teachings.
The Oneness of All Beings
Because we are one with all beings, showing compassion to others is, in truth, showing compassion to yourself. When you work to resolve the suffering of others, you are simultaneously resolving your own suffering. To sacrifice oneself for others is, in the deepest sense, to save one's own life and spirit. Namo Amituofo.
