Namo Amituofo’s discourse:
You may ask, when can one truly hear the teachings of Namo Amituofo? The answer is that Namo Amituofo is always present. At the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, which is the place where Namo Amituofo truly dwells, the Buddha is present 24/7, and his teachings are available at any moment.
Cultivating the Heart for Reception
Who is capable of receiving these messages from the Buddha and transcribing them into words for others to read? It is the practitioner who is dedicated to the following:
- Purifying their heart and actions through diligent practice.
- Nurturing a sincere vow to save beings.
- Combining their own sincere efforts with the Buddha's .
In the past, everything we stored in our became karmic seeds. However, now that you have encountered Namo Amituofo, you have the opportunity to change your trajectory. By engaging in prostrations, chanting Buddha's name, and reciting the Sutras, you can receive the profound Buddha's blessings.
The Path of Daily Practice
As you continue to purify yourself, becoming ever more refined and virtuous, your internal space begins to open. You will start to hear the voice of the Buddha, calling out to you as a beloved child, inviting you to continue listening to the sounds of the Buddha's teachings. This is a process of constant refinement, where each layer of impurity is peeled away to reveal your true self.
Aligning with the Universal Principle
The teachings you receive are unique and precious. Each one is a singular gift, meant to be received and internalised in the present moment. These teachings are in perfect harmony with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. When you listen to these words and put them into practice, you will surely receive the benefits of the . This is the true path for every disciple of the Buddha.
Breaking Through Delusion
These teachings are the natural expression of the original nature of Namo Amituofo. If you can truly have faith in the Buddha and listen to his guidance, the time when you break through delusion and attain will not be far away. However, if you have not yet developed deep faith, or if you are still clinging to your own views and selfishness, you will find it difficult to receive the words of Namo Amituofo. You will remain susceptible to the pollutions of the world, making it harder to purify your mind.
A Call to Diligence
We hope that the fourfold assembly will remain diligent in their practice. Your daily practice should include:
- Performing prostrations.
- Chanting Buddha's name with a focused mind.
- Reciting the Sutras, ensuring that every word and every sentence is clear and understood.
When you practise in this way, the Buddha's blessings will be present within your actions. You will naturally begin to hear the messages that Namo Amituofo sends to you. Receiving these teachings is not easy, but if you listen, obey, and improve your conduct, you will be supported by the Buddha's power and receive the benefits of the Dharma.
