The Origin of Our Suffering

Where does suffering originate? It arises from within the heart. When we allow ourselves to be consumed by the relentless pressure of suffering, it disrupts both our body and our mind. We must understand that suffering is merely a false appearance that obscures the truth. Our true self lies within, yet it is buried under layer upon layer of delusion. Because we have forgotten our original nature, our body and spirit are no longer in their pure, pristine state. To take the illusory as real is a profound delusion that keeps us trapped in the cycle of rebirth.

Unmasking the Illusion of the Five Aggregates

You must awaken and call back the truth. By transforming your heart and your thoughts, you can resolve the grinding pain of suffering. If you cling tightly to your physical body and your , you must clearly understand that the Five Aggregates—form, feelings, , , and —are all suffering. Since beginningless time, we have been trapped in upon karma. The cycle of these Five Aggregates seems endless, and in the cycle of birth and death, we travel alone. We must realise that these are not our true selves.

to the True Self

Only when your true self is revealed can your spiritual skills manifest. When you let go of the false, the truth naturally emerges. True flows endlessly from the heart, and when you are no longer bound by the illusions of the world, you will find yourself free from suffering and worry. In this state, you will experience a profound sense of joyful liberation. This is the path to returning home to the of Ultimate Bliss. Let us practise diligently, for the time to awaken is now.

These teachings were recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
