The Necessity of Divine Support
In this current era, known as the age of the ’s decline, we find ourselves dwelling within the Five Turbidities and Evil World. For those of you who aspire to transform your , see your true nature, or seek rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, it is vital to understand the reality of your spiritual journey. If you rely solely on your own limited strength to break through the heavy layers of accumulated karma, you will find the path to and rebirth exceptionally difficult to traverse. It is, in truth, nearly impossible to achieve this goal through self-effort alone.
This is because the karmic obstacles of all beings are profound, and the interference from negative forces is constant. To succeed in your practice, you must receive the support of the Buddha's . This is where the path of the Two Powers becomes essential. Once you have initiated your own diligent practice, the addition of the Buddha's power becomes the vital catalyst for your ultimate success.
Cultivating the Conditions for Grace
If you wish to receive the Buddha's blessings, you must ensure that your practice is aligned with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. When your practice is correct, the Buddha's power can fully permeate your efforts, leading to significant improvements in your progress. You will notice that your speed, efficiency, and physical vitality are enhanced, and your innate and wisdom will begin to manifest clearly. You may wonder how these blessings manifest in your daily life. They are not abstract concepts, but tangible experiences that support your journey:
- Prostrations: As you bow to the Buddha, your body and heart will become increasingly soft and supple. Through the light of the Buddha and His blessings, you will find your physical strength increasing, your karma dissolving, and your entire being undergoing a deep purification.
- Chanting Namo Amituofo: This practice purifies your body, heart, and spirit. It allows you to sever the roots of delusions, discriminations, and attachments. Furthermore, chanting is a comprehensive practice that simultaneously cultivates the , Concentration, and Wisdom, as well as the Six Perfections. It is truly magnificent, as it leads you to the state of and the wisdom of the Dharani.
- Reciting the Sutras: When you recite the sutras with a focused mind, you receive the Buddha's blessings. By reading straight through with sincerity, you can enter a state of deep peace and wisdom without falling into , allowing your to transcend the limitations of ordinary space.
The Fragrance and Light of the Buddha
Beyond these practices, there are other profound ways in which the Buddha's grace touches your life. When the Buddha releases His fragrance, you may perceive the scent of pure lotus flowers. This fragrance is not merely a pleasant aroma; it is a form of energy—a positive, purifying energy that helps elevate your body, heart, and spirit. Those who are able to receive this pure and virtuous energy are those whose heart, vows, and actions are in sync with Namo Amituofo.
Furthermore, when you are bathed in Buddha light, you receive a powerful energy that works to purify every cell in your body. This light also benefits all beings connected to you, including your , attached spirits, and even demon crowds. Because they are bathed in this light, their hearts are purified. The resentment and desire for revenge held by your karmic creditors can be greatly pacified, which in turn helps to dissolve your own karmic obstacles. Even the demon crowds, if they accept the illumination of the Buddha's light, will find their negative power automatically weakening. This occurs because the Buddha's light is the most pure and virtuous energy, capable of neutralising the extremely polluted and evil energy carried by such beings. As the purity and the evil cancel each other out, the extent of the purification becomes naturally apparent.
A Path to Certain Success
This is why, for those beings residing in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, the constant exposure to the Buddha's light is so transformative. It helps to diminish their demon nature while allowing their inherent goodness and Buddha-nature to flourish. These are the common ways in which the Buddha's blessings manifest. The Pure Land path of the Two Powers is a swift and convenient method for achieving success in your practice. The Buddha's blessings are bestowed upon those who are diligent in changing their personality traits, chanting Namo Amituofo, performing prostrations, reciting the sutras, listening to the Dharma, and who truly arouse the mind and single-mindedly recite Namo Amituofo. If you can follow this path with sincerity, your success in practice is assured, and your wish to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss will be fulfilled in the very near future.
